| I breed her and she never has puppies??? I bought Emilly when she was 2 years od from a woman who claimed she was getting a divorce and had to move into an apartment and had to sell her 2 yorkies. I bought Emilly and my friend bought Abagail. Welll....I have breed Emilly 4 times now with 2 different studs she just never has puppies. she has false pregnancies with milk but no pups. I had her examined by 2 different Vets and I got some oxy mate from Revival and still no luck. Her sister Abagail never came into heat for my friend so she sold her. We both bought these females to add to our breeding programs. I'm truly heart broken about not getting any puppies from Emilly. she is just sooo beautiful and a wonderful temperment. when my Vet first saw her he said he couldn't wait to see her puppies!! well...we're both still waiting. Do any of you breeders have any suggestions I could try before I sell her?? |

| Sorry, no suggestions. The poor little girl. I hope that you find her a great home where she will be spoiled and loved and pampered as she deserves to be. |

| Had she ever had puppies before you got her? I would have her checked for infection. 30 days after you breed her, have her progesterone level checked as well.

| Hmmm...not taking after being bred...never going into heat...are you sure the previous owner didn't have them spayed and she just wasn't honest with you? I mean, a breeding female would be worth more than a pet, right? |

| How old is Emily now? If she's had four heat cycles, she must be about four years old now, right? Females who have never had puppies should not be bred after age three. I suggest you have her spayed to protect her from a dangerous pregnancy and find a wonderful pet home for her if you don't want to keep her. |

| Dogs are not different than people. Some of them are just not able to conceive. Is she a very active yorkie or a calmer girl? What are you feeding her? I think bitches that are active and on the nervous side might have a hard time conceiving and carrying a litter to term. Many bitches get pregnant but reabsorb their pups around 30 days after the breeding, especially if there is a lot of stress in their life. Diet is also very important for the brood bitch. It is very important, in my opinion to feed a quality food. It is best to avoid dog foods with soy in them because soy can effect the hormones. I have to agree with Ladymom that if she has not got pregnant by now then it would be best to have her spay. You would not want to risk her getting pyometra. |

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | How old is she now? Are you sure they tied? I know a lady that I have been trying to breed her dog. My male breed her once with no puppies. She breed her before to another stud with no puppies. We tried one more time and she had 4 beautiful girls yesterday. We never figured out the problem. Just figured she wasnt ready to be a mommy. She is over 3 years now.

| update yes Emilly is 4 years old almost 5 and she did have 1 liter of puppies with her previous owner. she has not been spayed I had 2 Vets check for that. One Vet suggested using a different male and that did not work either. she is not nervous at all very calm and really pretty. her heats don't come on time so the 30 day thing before her heat wouldn't work. i guess i will just find her a pet home she really is a nice dog. thanks to everyone that replied. |
