help Being ripped off by breeder please give suggestions

Sounds like an absolute scammer to me. I would initiate the dispute with paypal. She already broke the agreement by not shipping the pup the first date she told you. I usually use a credit card to pay things with my paypal account so I have a double net. Personally even if paypal will take that long I would call the credit card company. They don't like fraud and that is what that is. The person took payment for an item that they have no intention of sending.

I did a lot of research before I purchased the dog. She does not have that many puppies to sell like a lot of other sites where you can clearly see they are puppy mills. She has two dames and one male posted on her site and only has one to three pups selling at a time. I talked to her a lot before I decided to buy the dog she sounded like a really nice woman we talked for about an hour at one time about the dog and the parents she was very nice to me then till she sent me a picture that I found on another site and asked her about it. She has sent me other pictures since that look legit I don't have many pet stores or yorkie breeders where I'm at and the ones I did go to they looked very sick one small poor baby was hooked up to an I.v and were still trying to sell her pet stores they usually get there dogs from puppymills. For they can buy them for cheap and sell them for top dollar. Idk buying a dog anywhere is just hard I did go to my local pet shelters but they did not have any yorkies. I mean I got my first yorkie from a very well known breeder wich I found a lot of good stuff about on this site. But she came with ringworm you just never know.

Post the link to the breeder. We can check it out and we can alert the YT detectives to check around for you. Honestly pictures that someone posts on a website can be stolen or copied. The best way to really know is to visit them or in this case since you can't maybe one of the good folks here on YT might live in close proximity and can check her operation out for you.

Unfortunately, she has your money and you have no pup and the whole thing sounds fishy. So you need to get on that dispute and print and keep all the emails that transpired as they can be used as proof in your dispute.

i bet u this pup will have worse than ringworm when it arrives ...
Not sure why but most of the indications are there for a scam

If you are unable to fly and bring the pup home with you,i think i would now put it all down to experience, and forget the money. It sounds as though you will end up very out of pocket and probably with no pup at the end of it.

To OP: Please, for your sake post the link to the site and/or the name of the woman you have been dealing with. We just want to help you get to the bottom of this. We don't want to call her or beat her up for you! Just want to help.

Just remember y'all...she is asking for suggestions, not for us to pick her apart for what she may or may not have done wrong here. I think she is aware now with all the comments that have been given to her what she needs to do. Now, the ball is in her court. If she really wants to come out on the positive side of this, she will give us the info we are asking for in order to help her.

For me...I didn't know a darn thing about how to buy a Yorkie when I bought Daisy Mae. I was very lucky that I bought my baby from the right people and had a vet in the family to help take care of her. Being on this site, I have learned so much and I know what to do when I am ready to bring another baby home.

Actually there is Continental Airlines that does ship all year round , any time of the day as they have a temperature controlled cargo system and last time I use them , their cost was around $160.
This is the only Airline I like to use if I have to, and I do it for the cost of $200 which has the health certificate included ($40) , crate no additional charge as that comes in my puppy packs.
But all Breeders do have different ways to do it, some do charge for gas and time .......I'm just 20 minutes away from the airport .
o.p I'm curious to learn who your breeder is , I agree with the others and I would just buy myself a ticket and go pick the little one in person.

i'm in boston...and i dont think its been above 32 degrees here in a long time. Todays a whopping 21 degrees...minus the windchill ..feels like 11 they said. Id ask the buyer to fly there and pick up the dog at the airport and fly back. At least the cabin is warmer.

I just shipped 2 Yorkie puppies Continental shortly before Christmas. Flight for each $193. Yes with Continental you do not need vet acclimate paper. Puppies are always in controlled environment. I checked all this out before I shipped them. This was as Cargo. As the gas prices rose airlines started adding on fees. Sue

To the OP I bet she found out the pup is sickly, goes down a lot or sold it to a higher bidder so to speak. To ship at 1 lb pup is insane.. It could suspected that it is an unhealthy pup, being not yet 1 lb.

A puppy can fly before 12 weeks. I know most Yorkie breeders keep them until 12 weeks. But a pup can fly before 12 weeks, needs to weigh 2 pounds or more, and as for weather? A letter of acclimation from the vet.
