| ![]() P.S. Almost forgot to tell y'all the details. She was showing all the signs of whelping most of the day but it was intermittent. Pant and whine for a while, temp went back up to 99.6, a little digging here and there. Nothing major though. So at 3 p.m. I decided that enough was enough and brought her into the vet. (The vet...that's another story...ugh). But anyway the vet told me she could do a c section but if it was too early the pups probably wouldn't survive, that I should probably bring her back home and wait for the water bag to show and bring her back in at that time. I told her that, if the pups were breach, I would probably lose at least one before I could make it back in and then it would be a crap shoot as to if they could wake up the on-call vet if it was late at night. I decided to do an xray and sure enough...breach. Did the 'C' and I feel it ended up being the right decision. Can't argue with the results can I? ![]() |

| ![]() Good call on your part. I'm so glad everything turned out ok and you got your 2 healthy darlings. Ahhhh, give the mommy a big hug; they are all adorable. By the way, the latest pics show up normal size. Can't wait to see more.

| ![]() Mom was having some pretty bad discharge (I know...gross but wanted you guys to know if you didn't already). I was told that brownish red was acceptable but I was worried by the amount. The best way to describe it was that it amounted to about three tablespoons full. If it hadn't stopped soon, I'd be heading back in to the vet, but just about the time I called in to the afterhours tech, it stopped just as quickly as it started. I then gave her a finger full of karo syrup to give her a little sugar rush and then gave her some food and she gulped it down. Seeing her eat made me feel better than it did her. lol. Here's some more pics. Glad they are smaller now. The second one is the boy. You can definitely tell the larger boy from the girl. Aloha! |

| ![]() Ohhhh, they are so tiny and cute. It is surprising how much visable difference there is with the boy only 1 oz. bigger. So sweet. Thanks for sharing pics. I've never seen newborn puppies in person, so can only imagine how tiny and adorable they must be. Hope mommy and babies stay well!

| ![]() Yeah, I got a lot of rest. I was a little concerned because I was told that sometimes after 'C's the pups could be ignored by the mom, but she's taken right to them. She's doing all the work keeping them clean and feeding them. |
