| ![]() I guess if you ask more $$, you can always go down in the price if you don't get any calls. I just sold a male that will be about 8 lbs for $300, and another one for $375 that was going to be about 5-6 lbs. They were registered and sold on neuter contracts and the parents were 7lbs and 4 lbs correct coats, topline, bites etc. They were the first to go because of the lowered price. The other 2 males went for $475 and $575 ( aprox 5 lb adults). Only you know I guess ,what puppies are selling for in your area. It's sad because we have some very large breeders ( I would say mills ) within in 2 hrs from me, and they sell for $250 -$350 . Most people are looking for deals and want cheap ( due to job loss and the economy)and will buy from the mills because either they don't understand how that parents are kept and pups raised , or they don't care and want a dog thats priced for their budget ,period.... I have a VERY nice female right now for $850( 4 1/2 - 5lbs adult), and when people they say OH, thats way to high. 2 yrs ago she would have be snatched up in a heartbeat at $1,200. |

| ![]() I had in my contracts that if the owners did not have the puppies spayed/neutered in the time frame described, that they would surrender the puppy back to me, unless they have a vet statement for other reasons. Also a vet statement was to be sent with in the described time limits, of the alter. I always called them by 6 months too. Its allot to have to deal with, and its all up to you on how far you are willing to take it. I never had a problem, every once in a while I would get a man asking if it would just be ok, if he didn't do that to his dog, he wouldn't breed, just didn't think it was right.. and I would say the price is doubled to by 6 months of age to keep them un-neutered. I always gave my owners (on reg dogs) the right to have breeding rights at that age, if the dogs they purchused were sound, healthy and no disqualifiyng marks. They just had to pay a higher price to keep them intact, along with a vet statement of health, and we could meet to see the dog was of suitable breeding quality. Although I have to say, I sought after more pet homes, and only one person has ever asked for breeding rights. |

| ![]() I agree with the spay/neuter clause although you don't know if the people will follow through. I'd add the money that it costs for a spay/neuter, and tell the people you'll return it once they send you proof. I'm not sure, but I think there is a place you might be able to check off pet only. You'd have to register them with a club like the CKC, but not the AKC. Best luck finding good homes. You might want to do a home check before you let them go.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | ![]() I don't think these pups are eligible for registration since the mother isn't registered.

| ![]() Dont worry about making a profit. so many people are afraid to say that on here. I would sell them for $500 then give the people a $100 discount once they prove they spayed and neutered their pet I would also write out a contract on what I wanted stating it all. There are a lot of people that want a bigger size Yorkie, being safer for a child to play with. 10 puppys wow lots of puppy breath. |
