| For full timers...How much time do you take off? How much time do you take off from work for your whelps? I was considering a few days, since I have a partner home full time, but I am the primary caregiver, so....what do you all recommend?

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | With the litter we had last year (my one and only so far), we were lucky enough that Lexie whelped on the weekend so my vacation started the next day rather than using vacation days being on puppy watch. I would have been home no matter what, then a week of vacation for me and hubby took the week after that off. That is how we worked it then and that is what we hope to do for any and all future litter we have.

| I am lucky to have my fiance home in the winter months, so he can do the initial puppy watch and I only work 5 minutes from home, so I get to come home every day for lunch. I will definitely start my vacation the day she has the pups. I am lucky to have three weeks. I just have to put in for it ahead of time, so I will be lucky if it's over the holidays, but January is a slow month, so it shouldn't be too bad. Thanks for the input
