| If by "do" her, you mean have her bred, typically it goes 2nd heat and 18 months old. Have you researched breeding her to make sure you know what you're in for? Breeding Yorkies can be much more complicated than breeding larger dogs, as there are more risks involved for the mom and pups. This is a great place to come and get all the info you need!

| When to start breeding I understand that it is the second heat or 18 months. I am in the same boat as you. I will be getting my third yorkie, a stud on friday from lisa@enchantedyorkies.com. Her dogs are georgeous and has great reviews. Good luck. Vea |

| Yes, definitly do research before you breed. Alot can happen and you need to be prepared. I researched for 2 years before I decided to start breeding, in fact...to this day, I am still learning new things. If you don't know what your doing and there is an emergency, you will not be prepared to handle it. So, please learn as much as you can, talk to other breeders and vets. My first litter a girl was breach and had I not read up on it, would have lost the girl. I know alot of breeders that will breed at 18 months, but for me personally, I prefer 2 yrs old. |
