Sonja, your little Taz is sooooo cute ! I watch the video of him in the show ring ( on your website) and had to LOL. :D He sure looks like he loves to show. PRETTY DOG ! |

Regarding the Site of Breeders. Regarding the site posted about good breeders and the site not reccomending Glenda Beavers. I emailed the party and asked why it was that their site was not reccomending her and this is the reply I got back (See below). Elaine The Replay I received to my inquiry. "Elaine, All of a sudden there's renewed activity concerning Glenda Beavers from Tahlequah, OK even though she's been around for quite a while. It's said, and some say proved, that she sells to pet stores. I'm told that she has sold to a local pet store here in Massachusetts, Laughlin Kennels so if that's true It confirms her activity. Laughlin has been featured on at least one Boston TV station as being a puppymill and I've been there and seen for myself that Laughlin is in fact a puppymill. I have a warning about them on my web site. I also have a statement that I wouldn't do business with Glenda Beavers and Carolyn Buffington along with several other dubious so-called breeders. About the only thing that can be done to reduce the demand for puppymill pups is to get the word out and let the public be informed. That's what I try to do but I won't "BLACKLIST" a breeder until I have documentation that asserts my statements. Opinions are a different matter! Some that think WHITE BREAD is great have their heads in the sand. It's empty calories and has nowhere near the food value of a Whole Grain Bread. This is an analogy to some 'Great Breeders' that have no interest in the products they produce and are only in it for the money. The majority of the pups produced by these Yorkie breeders don't come anywhere near the AKC/YTCA standard and in many cases are unhealthy. Yes, there are some of their puppies that don't suffer from major problems but that the 'law of averages' and not the norm. Those that give glowing referrals to these bad breeders were just lucky. More often than not these pups have parasites, viruses and genetic problems and sometimes they don't reveal themselves to be sick until any guaranty is long since passed. Even if the breeder would live up to the warranty, it usually calls for the puppy to be given back, and we all know that once the BOND has been established the owner very rarely will return a sick puppy. This is especially true when the breeder says they'll have to euthanize the pup because it's too expensive to give it medical treatment!! " |

It is most definitely wrong what some breeders out there do, I have had my fair share of disappointments with dogs and was not offered any sort of compensation or even any sympathy. I think it's terrible...:( I think Dee is right with what she mentioned earlier...at some point just about every breeder will come up against something. It is how you handle it and what you do from that point on...if you LEARN from your mistakes...that matters. |

Thank you for posting this. I hope this will help satisfy, and be an eye opener for more members on here, finally believing that GB is not who she claims she is, or pretends to be. I also hope those who doubted Karen, and defended GB repeatedly will believe the documents were official, and her sole purpose was to help educate us about the woman who hides behind the show ring, deceiving many. I find this situation terribly sad and it also upsets me.......It's looking like this breeder, G.B. , started out with good intentions and somewhere along the way consciously decided to make choices that would change everything she worked for and those choices have also had detrimental effects on the poor pups health and well being she's producing......It looks like ethics are hard to live by and difficult to hold on to when the temptation of greed and easy money comes into play....:( Four years ago I started out on a quest looking for a yorkie to love and to become my special family member. I have to say that in these past few years I have seen and heard enough about breeders that it just saddens me. I wish it was just the BYB that we had to be careful to avoid, but from my experience it's ALL breeders that have to be looked at very carefully. |

That's funny because when the little Frenchie died according to the note posted in that link She (Glenda) told the owners she had no way of getting in contact with that Laporte guy. Interesting. Also, I do realize that the Frenchie was lost to cancer but even so he was very very young and I do think that as a reputable breeder they could have and should have contacted her back and at least said "look we are sorry he died so young and although it's nothing we can guarantee we would like to offer you another at atleast a reduced price." Instead they just ignored her. To me that's terrible. Elaine |
