According to what was posted, she ignored it. That foundation always post an update when the matter is resolved. there is no update there. That is the top Liver Shunt Research foundation in the country.

This is the most ridiculous statement I've read in a long time. Come on, are you serious? Let's villianize the consumers (most aren't even aware of where these puppies come from and purchase because of the pull on their heart strings) as oppose to the puppymills that pump out these puppies in the masses, who's mom's and dad's never see the light of day, only to be brought out for breeding.


How do we know the dogs are suffering? How do you know they're not? If the puppies are lucky, most of them will end up in a decent home. Do you think the only people who purchase these puppies are decent homes, no, more puppy millers and even people who mistreat dogs. Nobody knows or cares where they end up at a petstore. Everybody loves a puppy....but what about their moms and dad's that you don't see?

I read the TSFMLS success story. I'm glad the pup got excellent care.

Yes it did get excellant care from the foundation. Thank goodness there are places like that that will give a puppy or dog the care it needs when breeders ignore them or owners can't afford the expensive care they need.

If you read what you've written, you'll have read something more ridiculous than what I wrote, not that I'm admitting what I wrote was ridiculous.

If people don't buy from the pet stores, the puppy mills will cease to exist. If puppy mills cease to exist who'll supply the puppies.

Think of what's happening with illegal drugs. I wonder how many taxpayer dollars have been spent dealing with this issue, and it's not even close to being resloved.

Anyway, the only issue I have is not sticking to the facts on this thread.

No offense bilido...but you've spent more effort on the subject than the breeder herself....obviously the entire matter doesn't concern her.

That is not really fair or nice. She / He has not posted anymore than anyone else in this thread.

Also, I'm happy for you that you've had a wonderful experience with GB. I can understand how you and others would want to defend her given your experience with her.

Bildio, the dogs suffering that I referred to would be the breeding stock and puppies of puppymills - and yes, they do suffer - horribly! Anyone that supplies as many shipments to a pet store is either a broker, puppymill or both. Anyone involved in, or that defends the practice is perpetuating the suffering of dogs, IMO.

OK, so bildio has posted a few more times....are we now trying to embarrass or intimidate people into not posting if their opinion is different? What is the point in counting the posts?

And I will state once again, I am not defending or supporting Glenda Beavers, just telling my story, the truth, about my experience with her and her dogs. I thought that was the original question? Not ethics and opinions on breeding, showing, exhibiting, etc. I will also repeat, once again, that I think it is a reach to consider Tsa La Gi a "puppy mill" - which was insinuated in an earlier post. Listen, I'm not a professional breeder, exhibitor or dog show expert - just someone that was looking for healthy, pretty, happy dogs. I found this forum which has provided such valuable advice in the past and I hope that those that feel the need to be so judgemental in their opinions will be able to take a step back, and realize that things are not always so black and white. With age comes wisdom and experience, and hopefully some of what I have seen and read recently is just a lack thereof. I really just wish everyone luck in what they are seeking - I am fortunate enough to have found it in the puppies that I have.
