| New Pups First Time Mom So my girl had her pups about 3 hrs ago. Her second one came out with a somewhat deformed hind leg and labored breathing. I thought the breathing thing would pass but it didnt. She had five altogether which is way more than I was expecting. The boy with the breathing problem wouldn't nurse so I had to take him to the vet. He died there.. I'm really sad about it but I still have 4 more to look forward to. I'm a little anxious though because mom won't let me get too close to them and it's hard for me to check if they're nursing and I"m nervous another one might die. She was so clingy this last week and no she is being mean to me.. My feelings are hurt. Any advice? |

| Awwe, I'm sorry to hear you lost one. It is so hard! Even if mom is being mean to you make sure you are checking on puppies constantly. Make sure all are nursing and check them out physically every few hours. I also weigh mine twice a day for first few weeks to make sure they are gaining. Im sure she is just nervous and didn't mean to hurt your feelings!! Please keep up posted on yourself, mom and babies!!! Any more questions that you have....this is the place to ask them. Tons of great people to help you!!!
