Awwe, I'm sorry to hear you lost one. It is so hard!
Even if mom is being mean to you make sure you are checking on puppies constantly. Make sure all are nursing and check them out physically every few hours.
I also weigh mine twice a day for first few weeks to make sure they are gaining.
Im sure she is just nervous and didn't mean to hurt your feelings!!
