| Ashantay- Thank you so much for your information, we will see how it goes...maybe I'll rethink the breeding thing if this will be a problem everytime she goes into heat. |

Do not worry about it happening again Kissa just went through a heat cycle since then and it was normal no false pregnancies, believe me I am watching. If you have a sound puppy and think she is good for breeding and are sure of what you are doing or at least confident with breeding her by all means breed her She may never have another false pregnancy | |

| False Pregnancy Thank you so much!!! I was freaking out when My baby Roxie started lactating and had swollen boobies. This is her third heat and is never around boy puppies. She has also been real cuddle-y .. more than usual.. but it all makes sense now. I just wanted to say thank you because you guys saved me a bunch of money from going to the vet. Good luck to every one and thank again!!!! |

| Wow I had forgotten about this thread until I got an email saying someone had replied to it. As someone else said about the false pregnancy recurrance. My Kissa had another one and ended up with emergency surgery to spay her because she developed mastitus or however it is spelled. Was REALLY bad for her but she recovered quickly. Thankfully we have dog insurance as it was quite costly. If your dog has it just keep an eye on her teets if she develops milk to make sure that they don't get infected. We got a new this year and we are worried about her first heat as a result of the situation with Kissa but are hesitant to get her spayed because we might want to breed her as she is purebred. |
