| Yorkie Talker | It's been 12 hours since the little boy was born and now Missy is panting and digging again. Is this normal? Quick replies please..... |

| Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | That does not seem normal if she is having another puppy, but I think it's normal for them to pant some. It takes alot out of the mamas when they are nursing and/or maybe she's a bit warm. Have you taken her temperature? Did you see the placenta when the little boy was born? If she does not seem to be in any distress maybe she was just nesting some to get herself & her pup comfortable. Make sure she is eating and drinking okay and please, let us know how she is doing. Hugs & prayers coming to you and the mama.

| WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO! A new baby! How exciting. Has mom stopped nesting? One of my girls panted so much and I worried my vet to death having her checked. After her first litter, I wasn't so concerned cause she did it again and then again. She was fine each litter. My vet recommends a check and frequently a shot of Oxy if I was not absolutely certain that every last bit of placenta and cord were delivered. Let us know how she and her "only child" is doing. Congrats! |

| Yorkie Talker | Hi everyone, sorry i've taken so long to reply but it's been a bit hectic. Mum and baby, who we've named Solo are doing great. I took Missy to the vets due to the panting and they did an x-ray and there was nothing inside her so she was given the all clear, they weighed Solo and he was 6oz so he's a big boy. Missy is a great mum attending to his every squeak, which is quite often as he always wants to feed, typical boy!! He's getting bigger every day but he's just sooo cute i think i might struggle to let him go. My friend is taking him and she's really excited. Thanks for eveyones comments and advice it's been really good to have people to talk to. I'll definately be staying tuned to this sight. |

| I am so glad everything went well for your girl. Congrats on little Solo. (So cute, makes me think of Star Wars.) |
