Think you missed something in my original post. What I was saying is that I was trying to follow the Biewer standard as far as coloration and markings with the Partis. This might not even be possible because of different genetics between the two.

I take it back...I see a small amount of blue on Jeanie's dog in her avatar. Quite a bit of gold though....she has her website listed in her signature. You'll find more pictures there.

There needs to be a seperate standard for the colors for showing purposes because I do not believe they should ever show against the standard colors. IF these variation of dogs are ever going to gain AKC recognition, then there would have to be a uniform, coordinated efforts among Parti breeders. So a "club" would seem to be the first step.

However, as AKC sets standards based on the YTCA, it's not the AKC's approval you have to get, it's YTCA's...unless AKC decides to adopt another organization as the parent clud, which isn't at all likely. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, just that it's the way it is. Per feedback from YTCA, they are not willing to accept off-colored Yorkies.
With all the questionable Partis popping up every time you turn around being marketed in such questionable manners, is it really any wonder why they are not open to the idea at this point in time?
Yes, standards change, but according to YTCA approval--and they don't approve of Partis.

So I guess the real question is this: If your desire is to see them gain AKC and standard recognition, what are YOU doing to contribute to that goal? (The common fallback justification of "breeding healthy dogs" doesn't work in this scenario.)

Well you are already using the term Super Rare right?? I don't understand why the need to wash out so much of the coloring in a true Yorkie standard personally.

There are a lot of Gold dogs carrying for the parti gene out there now. I know of one beautiful golden with a completely white front and feet that is available now. I should have some at the end of next month too, and maybe another gold and white dog if I am lucky.

Why would you want to follow the biewer standard? If that's your objective...why not breed biewers?

I don't believe the genetic marker for a biewer's color placement is found in parti's.

Not sure what you are even getting at here. There is no PC term for something that has not yet been defined. It's a contradiction within itself.
As I said, the pedigrees would be questionable...not sure how many different ways there can be to misinterpret that...although I'm thinking maybe in this case it's intentional.

Yes I do and only on my Golden Colored Parti dogs. I have only found 7 in existence. That is pretty darn rare at the moment. Next year they may not be rare at all. I do not list my partis as rare because I do not believe they are and I do not list goldens as rare either because i could find you as many as you want pretty easily, But go out and find me some other gold and white ones. I personally would love to be able to talk to the breeders that have them to learn more. I think what you will find is only one person who even shows them on their website, me and ZERO pictures other than those of my dogs.

No one wants to wash out the standard color yorkies. I think all of us breeding the colors love them too. I stated earlier I do not believe that should ever be in the same show ring.

Don't you think this would be something to determine and research before breeding? Furthermore, how would you do that if you are breeding only gold/white Yorkies...the coloring is not even close to that of a Biewer.
As far as breeding to a standard, you can breed to whatever standard you want to, but in the end YOU are the only one following that standard, so what good is it? Unless there is a coordinated effort for one universal standard, it's pointless.

Ok, I will explain myself on that too. I am trying to get gold masking on the face and symetrical markings on the dogs. This is going to take time to do if it is even possible. I am doing this because I like the way it looks better not because I think there is anything wrong with non symetrical markings. Skye is not symetrical in her markings but there are not a lot of gold and white dogs to pick and choose from at the moment. Maybe it is not even possible because of the differences in genetics but it does appear that getting gold masking is very possible.

Can I ask you a question?? With all of your mixing off colored Chocolates and Parti's aren't you afraid your playing with fire?? Have you had any Blue Born puppies with all this mixing of off colors?

If none of your dogs possess the desired markings you are looking for, then how to you plan to produce offspring that has it from them?:confused:

how would I get a blue born puppy from breeding Goldens? Is that even genetically possible?

All of my Parti dogs have gold masking, so I am not sure what you are talking about?

Hey everyone, isn't this supposed to be a photo post? shouldn't we be having all the discussion elsewhere? I started this to share photos of my dogs not to argue over genetics.

Can I ask how you are researching pedigrees to determine there are only 7 in existence?

I realize you can research AKC pedigrees for a 15 fee. I just wondered how many pedigrees you'd researched?

ah, I knew someone would post that BS. I have seen dozens of these colored dogs and talked to dozens of their owners and breeders and no one has ever had one of these so called defects. In fact the only defective Yorkies I have been able to find are in the blue/tan and blue/gold dogs. Are you afraid when breeding them? bad knees, bad hips, collapsed trachia and other abnormalities are all over the place in the standard yorkies. Use your head, if you breed dogs with good genetic health you get dogs with good genetic health and when you get a dog that has a problem you quit breeding that dog. The same thing goes for the colors and Partis, if you breed a dog and it has bad puppies you get the dog fixed to prevent spread of the bad gene.

That wouldn't work because none are registered as of yet. I do constant searching and talking to other breeders to find them. I do not know for a positive fact there are only 7 but I have only been able to locate 7 and I have never been able to find any photos other than those provided directly to me by people I know or the breeder themselves.

Posting on here I hope is another good research as it reaches a larger audience. So if anyone on here has seen them I hope they will share that as well.

I currently have over 20 pedigrees on the dogs I am breeding and looking into to determine the origins of these off colored dogs. I also purchase pedigrees on all new dogs I look into to determine how closely they are related so I can try to avoid defects in the offspring.

You started you posts with statement of how rare these dogs were and that you only knew of 7 in existance. I believe any discussion of genetics and the rarity or validity of these dogs was probably a result of those comments. :)

once again since you did not read all the posts in this thread I do not advertise my partis as rare and I do not sell designer dogs. I do say my Golden Parti colored dogs are rare because currently they are but I hope to see that change. I also Dna test all my dogs to make sure there is no crossbreeding happening, DO you have all yours DNA tested? I agree with there stance on so called teacup yorkies and I can not tell you how much time I spend trying to educate people on why Teacups are not desirable. Yes, it is very easy to find actuall cases of tiny yorkies with health problems. Not so easy to find with the colored dogs.
