First I'd like to say that I have sat here and tried to figure out what to say to you without sounding rude or making anyone upset. I frankly don't like the puppy picture with the 100 dollar bill in it I find it in poor taste. Of course it is only my opinion and you can do whatever you deem fit for your puppies. Secondly the pictures of your puppies to me makes them look abit dirty and unkept so im hoping they were due for a much needed bath. Thirdly they are not standard to the breed and I for one do not like to see people breeding poor standard to the breed or off colored yorkies..Again it is only my personal opinion but a suggestion would be to do more research before adding to the lack of true standard to the breed yorkie puppies. IMO a good reputable breeder breeds to improve the Yorkie breed standard! |

You have the right to your opinion but perhaps you should do a little more research. Check into how the Yorkshire terrier came to be in the first place. it was bred from colored dogs. The Pics look the way they do because they are puppies that were playing. The hundred dollar bill was in the pic to show her size at the time and it was the only bill I had at the time. Are you some how offended by our US curency? Here is a link to a great sight about genetics All about the Red As I said earlier you have the right to your opinions but it would be nice if you would educate yourself on what is fact and what is not before spreading untrue rumours. I choose to breed these beautiful dogs because I think they are beautiful and my opinion is shared by many others. I love regular yorkies too and I have those too. One more thing all of my Colored dogs are DNA tested by the AKC and they share the opinion that they are yorkies too. Are all your dogs DNA tested by the AKC? |
Yes we both have a right to different opinions and it is very clear ours differ greatly. I for one find it in very poor taste to place any money next to a puppy even if as you say it is to show size. There are so many other items that can be placed next to a puppy to show size other then money of any kind. As for the standard to the breed for yorkies perhaps you should go read the akc standard to the breed. I have to tell you I know several reputable breeders who will agree with me on this fact. I am glad you love them as you say you do but why not breed to improve the standard?? Here's the link: American Kennel Club - Yorkshire Terrier |

I have read it, I try to breed to its specifications other than with regard to color. I spend a great deal of time research to improve the dogs I have to produce the healthiest pets I can. The breed standard has changed more than once over the years. The current standard was approved on Approved July 10, 2007 and made Effective October 1, 2007. So who is to say it will not change again to include colors that have always been present in the breed. I am not breeding for show but if that option becomes available I will most certainly enter the dogs I have bred. Sorry I did not have anything else in my pocket that could be universally recognized and easily produced by anybody looking at the photo for size comparison and sorry you find Us currency offensive. |
The YTCA doesn't recognize yorkies as even having the gene responsible for this coloring. |

I have another question for you. Have you read the standard you are saying you follow. let me quote it for you. "Disqualifications: Any solid color or combination of colors other than blue and tan as described above. " That being said why do you have a black and tan/gold Yorkie on your website? Black is a disqualifying color!!! PS. I think black is very pretty too |
I also wonder what your so called "rare" puppies sell for??? Do you genuinely care about the Yorkie breed standard?? |

I'm not going to get into a pissing contest with you, because it's not my style. I just think if your going to post picture of your babies perhaps it would look better to bathe them first if they look dirty and unkept. Also find a better way to show size so others like myself are not offended by your use of money. |

Blue born yorkies do have genetic health issues. I will say I have never seen any parti with that large amount of contrasting color. |

Point taken, picture was taken with my cell phone for friends and I only put it on here because it showed the color nicely. As for the use of the word Rare I believe I can say golden parti color is rare. I have only found 7 out of months of research. 7 AKC dogs in my opinion is rare. Goldens are becoming less rare though and with time I do not believe Goldens will be that uncommon. Black and Gold is still fairly rare but I have seen many more of them in the last 6 months showing up. On another note I was looking for a black and gold dog for two years and cold not find one before so yes RARE. The reason I was looking was that the very first yorkie that my father ever had turned out to be black and gold and untill this year it was the only one I had ever seen. I do find it very hypocritical for someone breeding these beautiful black and gold dogs to go into such a rant about my white and gold dogs. |
