Mom is doing well both with her health and the puppies. She did something strange though. She took one of the pups and brought it to another bed outside the whelping box.. Do they just do this or is it for a reason. The pillow is so soft. Maybe its just more comfortable?
One is so much more active and hardier looking than the other he even cries more and eats VERy often. The other is so quiet and small and nurses occationally.

I do not know but I hope someone else answers fairly quickly, I would worry that maybe she is rejecting the one she moved out or it has some kind of other problem she is aware of and you have not picked up on yet. Does she go over to feed it? Is is able to stay warm enough over there without being next to the other puppies?

I found Felicity in the tub without the pups. I think she just jumped up the stairs looking for the towel basket that use to be there that she liked to lie on and she fell in. Its a jacuzzi so its deep and she could not get out. Maybe she's looking for a new spot? I took the pillow away and put a receiving blanket over the towel that was over the heatingpads and she is digging again but getting the pups lost in the mix! What is going on with her?

My other story...I bred her to a stud that the breeder has as her own pet. Two years ago I told her I had intentions on breeding her and asked her how it would work and she looked to see if they were related at all which they were not(Pedigre's are both from Brazil..no AKC reg. which the contract says that I would be able to transfer the papers and the Brazil registry is not on the list at AKC.... thats another story)
#1 She told me that it would be $500 or a pup. So when Felicity came into her second heat i called her and bred to her 4 times , once every other day. Then asked her how do you want me to do this, pay now or wait to see if she is having any and she said that I can give her $1500 or a pup and I was in shock for I told her she told me $500 when we spoke about it 2 years ago. So then she said to just give her a pup. If she had just one than to just keep it myself.
#2. About two weeks into her pregnancy, I had to take Felicity to the vet b/c her urine smelled like fish. Vet said that she had a bladder and UT infection and gave 2 weeks of Anti-biotic and retest after med is finished. So 2nd test still showed bacteria so then 2 more weeks of anti-biotics . Then back to the vet for another urine alysis and STILL bacteria. THEN>>> I had to bring her in AGAIN for a xray of her bladder, and culture and grow this bacteria in a lab.... Last Wednesday vet calls me and said no bacteria in the bladder that it is coming from her Vagina and is likely caused from the breeding($500.00 later) She still has the infection and vet can not do anything about it untill after the pups are born.

Well the only way to get intouch with the breeder is by TEXT messaging(which i hate) so she did not respond to my last 2 i sent her during the summer. but yesterday i texted her "FELICITY HAD 2 BOYS TODAY SHE ALSO GOT A BACTERIA INFECTION FROM #$@%^&** THAT HAS COST ME HUNDREDS AND IS STILL SICK" She texted me back(finally) "I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU!
I must say i am really upset , first she tries to get $1500 out of me for a stud that is not even AKC reg after i already bred.(Lke now what!) and then this infection!!!
The vet says that the pups cant catch it(THANK THE LORD) so i am happy about that.

HELP ME WHAT DO I DO????????.. I dont think this woman deserves a dime.

Do you have a contract that says you owe here any money or a pup? If not I would write her off. It may sound severe but she does not sound like she has any ethaical standards of her own.
You are correct that everyone starts someone and we are bound to make mistakes and erros in judgement along the way. I hope now that the puppies are born you can get her infection easily cleared up.

if there is no contract..then write her off like the other post..if she persist i would get documentation out of the vet cost for the infection and write something up about the orginal amount agreeded $500 and then start deducting the vet cost and if you come up with a negative amount tell her she owes you!
and if she takes you to court show the documents..some one who you can only talk through text doesnt sound reliable or likely to fight back..$1500 is outrageous and she should not get that and i know i wouldnt give it

i had something like this happen with a landlord differnt objects but the same thing happened

we moved in to a rental house and for the deposit and first months rent we instal central heat and air...our infant was always sick...6 months into the lease she comes by (they did monthly inspections!) (oh and we had to help evict her son to move it) and tells us they are selling the house and they we can renew the lease until the holidays..well we flat out side no we arent moving during the holidays..so a month before our lease ended we found a really nice house..(my son was sick because the house was infested with mold up the walls in the 2nd bedroom..we didnt use it but for storage and i didnt realize it was mold..i knew it needed to paint and thought it was dirt) we she said no problem we could leave early and they would accept our deposit as the last months rent..so we signed the new lease and bam she changed everything around on us..stated she needed the cash for the rent..i said ok give my deposit first..she stated we didnt give a cash deposit and would not get a deposit back..so then started a legal actions..she sent a certfied letter that i never received notification on so she drove it by my new place..it stated we infected the house with mold for leaving windows up in the rain...(umm if you know my husband we dont even open the blinds he is funny about people looking in)..besides the mold went up and down the walls..she stated we skipped on the rent and blah blah...so my mom is in ligatations for a bank and helped us counter act and turns out they owed us $1600.00 afteri what we spent upgrading their home, medical bills, the trouble they put us through and the my sons worst year because he was no stop sick
but if they dropped their lawsuit we would drop ours...oh they would call me and threaten me and say we know what kind if peole you are and that i was trash and everything else...but they never filed a case because they had none...oh the biggest thing was the water pipes,sewer thing went bad and we had no water for a week and she flat out refused to either put us somewhere or take less on the rent for that..when i confronted her about the law and the new baby she said we could stay in her sons bedroom, WTF?!?! we chose not to..

the point is if she comes at you for money strike back for what she owes you

The infection may not have been caused at the breeder's house but from the condition Felecity was in . Its too easy to blame everyones .

Dreamer...no there was no contract. I believe that our verbal contract was the $500 or a pup. She hit me up with the $1500 after all was done

Jenny...I can not reg pups for both were Brazilian born and pedigre is from there and AKC does not accept where this pedigre is from. At the time i purchased her .. i received a contract that said i would receive papers to register her AKC and I NEVER did. After hounding her for months she finally had her sister from Brazil mail me the Pedigre and when i looked it up on line the do not accept from them. I paid $1800 for her. She is beautiful and love her dearly.. My husband went to see 2 other breeders and this womans pups were trained, socialized(took over her living and dining room area) It was clean compared to others homes he visited. Her pups were so much prettier too .. my husband said that all the other pups he saw from other breeders had large or floppy ears and did not look like standard yorkies he believed should. We had no idea how to purchase a yorkie .. we just wanted one from a home and not a store.

Oliver .. I am not at all trying to get free pups.. I have went into this knowing that having pups can cost me Thousands in vet bills and i am fortunate enough to try this as a hobby. i believe she does deserve the $500and not the $1500 that she is trying to swindle me out of. but i am at the time very upset about the infection. It is too coinsidental that she contracted this just after breeding. I see the vet tomorrow or sat for tail docking. I have to discuss with her Felicitys treatment for the infection then. What else could she have gotten it from? I am open to opinions.

I would love to purchase my own stud dog . If anyone knows of someone who has a male that is suitable for her please let me know. I do not want to have to go through this again.

Besides the vet saying that the bacteria has most like come from the breeding here it is...

LET'S TALK PENIS PEOPLE..WHOO HOO (AKA IN MY HOUSEHOLD WITH MY CHILDREN THE DINGA LING)...LOL

#1 My friend spend 2 weeks in the hospital from a bacteria infection from her uncircumsized boyfriend. She was so sick that numerous Anti-biotics did not work for sometime. She recovered and made him get circumcized or break up. He got circumcized. Doctors said it was caused from him not cleaning under his foreskin properly.


#2 My husband is a Throughbred Horse Trainer, Breeder and Bloodstock Agent. As a matter of fact he is at staying at the breeding farm now and attending a very prestigious sale of yearlings and purchasing millions in very highly bred Throughbreds.
I have seen horses breed myself and he says also that breeding animals of purebred should all take place in this manner to avoid infection. All are tested for STD's. The process of breeding horses is SOOOOO sanitary that i just could not get over the technicallity of it. The Mare is put into a teaser box and a teaser horse is sent over to see how she behaves , if she is in season and ready then up comes the stallion from the path hooting and hollering for he smells her. The mare is sanitized in the gential area and leather protection is straped to her back so when the male mounts he does not bite her. Her hooves are straped down so she does not kick him. There are approximately 5-6 people IN WHITE SUITS AND MASKES in the breeding barn . They sanitize his penis when it is erect before You know what happens and after. One man is a penis washer( imagine having that job, like yuck) They have a lot of semen for they catch the sperm in a BIG silver bucket and bring it to a room where owners, trainers and staff are in a glass room with microscopes. They put drops of sperm on each so that observers can see sperm and them they do a sperm count it see likelyhood of pregnancy... I really must agree with this technique of breeding. Studs and Bitchs should be cleaned BEFORE and AFTER breeding to assure no bacteria. (We should not have to wear the white suits) but having a microscope and swabing some semen to take a look is not a bad idea either if you are a REALLY GOOD BREEDER this should be done.
