| In defense... I know this thread isreally old, and it's been along time since I've been on, but I see that therehas been some harsh commenting on Blessed B Kennel which I do not agree with. Ipurchased my baby girl Harley from Beth in April of 2009 and I had a very differentand pleasant experience. Granted, this was prior to me joining YT and gainingthe proper knowledge on yorkie breeding 'do's & don'ts.' Since then, I'velearned what to look for when selecting a good breeder and had I known then, what I know now, maybe I would have looked elsewhere. HOWEVER, I believeeverything happens for a reason and let me just say that I love my Harley withall my heart and would not trade her for ANY other yorkie in the world. She isbeautiful (although would not be considered to fit the 'standard,'extremelysmart and has the sweetest temperament. I too visited theirhome before placing a deposit and I found it to be very clean and well set up.They do use a large screened in back porch (more of a large room which extendsfrom their living room) to house the kennels, but it is clean, organized andclimate controlled. The dogs are free to come in and out of their kennels asthey choose and are also free to go in and out of the fenced in yard as theychoose. This is not a situation where they are kept in a shack far away fromthe house and left unattended. The dogs are not living in filth as waspreviously insinuated. In fact when I was there, most of the dogs WERE insidethe home which was also very clean considering the amount of pets they have. These are good people, period. They take care of their dogs and do not sell tojust anyone. I was questioned on my living arrangements and also whether or notI would be able to handle the extra care and cost associated with the groomingand health needs of a yorkie. Also, I'd like topoint out the fact that their website clearly states that they considerthemselves a 'hobby' breeder. They do not falsely advertise anything or claimto be a 'show' breeder. In fact, they are upfront that they are not. No, theymay not be breeding to benefit the standard, but they're also not advertising't-cups and baby doll faces' either. Their dams are all 5-7 lbs, nothing less.Harley was sold to me based on the condition that I would NOT breed her. Icould be wrong, but I believe that was part of the contract I signed. Anyway, they also provided me a take-home diaper bag with all kinds of information onthe breed, food, toys, shot records, clean bill of health from vet, etc. Neveronce did they try and deceive me or hide anything. I will admit that I wishthey did genetic screening before breeding as I've found within the past yearthat Harley has a luxating patella. That would be my only complaint. I agreethat they should not be breeding dogs with this genetic issue. However, otherthan that, there have been no problems. Harley is all yorkie, in looks, weightand spirit. I've actually takenHarley back to have a play date with her mama, daddy and other dogs since thenwhich we enjoyed very much. We have been welcomed back several times. Please, do notmistake the fact, I'm not condoning poor breeding standards, but merelydefending the character of Blessed B Kennel and the living conditions of theirdogs. Do they breed show dogs? No. Do they do genetic screening? No. Do theylove and care for their dogs? YES! Thank you for yourtime P.S. Harley and Ihave been great!! She'll be 3 in February!!

| Blessed Kennels- at least she is crossing Biewers & Parti carries opening the gene pool, vet is reputable but she sells on open registration & registers CKC....two thumbs down! No listing of DNA, no health checking evidence no identification little done to promote education mostly about puppy sales, obviously doesn't show dogs ...boooooooooo! Little Biewer Yorkies RUN LIKE H3LL! Terry Castonguay three dead beiwers from her on here in the last 8 months! She has a history of genetic issues in her line of Partis, LS & neurological issues. Some beleive she just bred her parti line to biewers making two flawed lines. She bred my Elvis he has epilepsy

| She's a long track record of these issues...my Elvis is now 4 1/2 years old and was the last male Parti bred/born to Terry.

| Terry ended her parti line according to her for no reason other than to breed biewers others say and have provided proof it was due to LS and neurological issues...it was responsible of her to end the line, but it appears once again she is breeding a line riddled with health issues.

| This person is actually spamming a lot of posts on different threads, in no way related to that post.

| Be sure before you give a deposit I did not do my homework regarding this breeder. She has one puppy to offer, male, $1000. The puppy is about 6 or 7 weeks old. She demanded a $200 deposit to hold the puppy. When I found out more about her, I changed my mind about a week later. Of course, she kept the money. That was the agreement but seriously, this puppy is 7 weeks old and very marketable. It cost her NOTHING to hold that puppy for a week. I wouldn't recommend doing business with her. She didn't have to keep my money. Send me an email if you want to know where to get a really fine biewer from a reputable breeder. I just got the finest little boy. Love at first sight. |
