| How many litters of pups ? What is a safe number of litters a yorkie should be able to have? Also how old is to old to have a litter? I was just wondering. Thanks for any info. |

AKC regulations states the the mother can't be under 8 months or over 12 years of age at time of mating and the father can't be under 7 months or over 12 years of age at time of mating. Although I have NEVER heard of a anyone breeding a dog until 12 years of age. Perhaps others have, but I think about 7 years is the general retiring age. JMO though!
