The reason for 14 views and no answers is because no one wanted to be the first to say anything negative..... but somehow I think you already knew it was coming.

MY whole point is that she was asking for advice and the only thing that she got was slammed.

I also said IF you have nothing nice to say then you should say nothing at ALL.

As far as the humane society being too full then that should apply to everyone that breeds at all...........

I also think that there lots of really ugly dogs that are pumping out puppies and there owners are on here getting ALL kinds of advice. Yes. There are reputable breeders here too. But no one EVER says anything to them????

She asked for advice and she did not get it....

If breeding was only left to the show dogs then there would be several people here that would not own a Yorkie...and myself I love my babies.

I wasn't going to respond again, BUT, I personally saw "NO" slamming from anyone except maybe a rude comment from the OP when she wasn't getting what she wanted to hear? I saw responses the OP asked for but they were not what she wanted to hear unfortunately. The OP responded kindly to those responses she wanted to hear but not so kindly to those that opposed breeding a mixed breed dog.
I, as a responsible/reputable breeder, have been questioned but I have never responded in an unkind manner on a open and public forum because it's their opinion whether I liked it or not. Contary to popular belief I do and have taken advice or opinions given to me when it's needed whether it's been given here or somewhere else and now practicing it because it's called "learning". I as a breeder/show exhibitor will not have everyone agree with me on how I do things and that's ok as long as I know I'm doing the right thing for my own breeding/showing program ie...health testing, breeding for the best representation of the breed and bettering my program and educate myself and others on this wonderful breed. When I stop learning as a breeder/show exhibitor then it's time to move on to something else.
You can get a yorkie from a show breeder at any given time because not every puppy in a litter will be of quality for the ring. Why not wait for what I believe is worth a healthy puppy? Why breed a mixed breed when there are so many in shelters that need a home? Why not save a life rather than risk one? Again, these are just my opinions and mine alone and it's ok to agree or disagree.

well all i did was ask a question and yes i did get slammed for breeding my yorkiepoo . It is not all my fault that there are homeless dogs in the world I didnt come here and ask about homeless dogs ..I know all about the homeless dogs.I got my Mia from petfinder. And as for getting a pure bred I dont want a full bred I happen to rather the yorkiepoo. and i never said that I dint get good advice . But when people make it sound like its my fault for everyone else who bred their dogs and left them homeless I will get a lil rough to protect me.. I already asked that everybody just drop it and not to post anymore on this topic but some people just dont understand i guess..
and i said i didnt mean to sound rude . I knew coming in to this that i would get answers i didnt like . But you know you people who come here and make it sound like Im the only one who is being rude are just as rude as my answers sound ... no wonder i get a lil cocky..

No, it isn't your fault for all the homeless dogs and it wasn't my imply. I am one of those that do "oppose" breeding mixed breed dogs because simply you are bringing in health issues from each breed and multiplying the problems within each breed and please don't take what I say as being mean it's just plain facts and I'm hoping with your orignal post that is what you'd want is the facts and truth when you partake in breeding a mixed breed dog. Again, this is my opinion I saw nothing that slammed you just simply stating the facts of breeding mixed breeds. We understand completely but we are just as passionate with the purebred as I guess you are with designer mixed breeds. We see so many health issues such as Liver shunt within the purebred yorkie breed and then when someone starts mixing it with something else it just brings in the other breeds health issues. I guess when you asked for the advice and what was given wasn't what you wanted to hear you came back with I'll do what I want with my dog, please, I'm not trying to be rude, mean or anything like that but why start a thread when you are going to do what you want anyway and then ask for advice? I'm just asking LOL....I don't agree with what you are doing but I'm being nice with how I respond and I believe you shouldn't be breeding your beloved pet and risking her life. I care that much for a dog I don't even know and in fact I care for you as her beloved owner and would love to spare heartbreak if that were to happen. We as purebred yorkie breeders experience heartbreak and I sometimes wonder if it's worth it....

When you mix breeds you are taking all the health problems of multiple breeds and mixing them also...As ethical breeders we are working to eradicate the health problems of the Yorkshire Terrier...This is why many breeders object to the mixing of breeds...It has NOTHING to do with whether we are capable of loving a mixed breed puppy or not!

Hi I just found this site and need some info please!
We noticed on June 22nd that our Yorkiepoo was bleeding (she may have been bleeding before that we didnt notice)she is 2 years old .

When you have a intact dog you need to check them frequently to make sure they are not in heat, this way you will be able to tract all information accuratley..

So we put her with the male on the 27th , she stopped bleeding on the 29th,
he mounted her but she moved away , on the 30 they tied twice that day 10 minutes each time, ,on July 1st we were not home so not sure if they did anything, on the 2nd they tied again for like 15 minutes
.

The length of the tie has nothing to do with whether a bitch may become pregnant or not...We do not breed our dogs more than once a day and we NEVER leave them unattended...The dog can injure himself if the bitch decides to bite him or take off running while tied...

What do you think the odds of her being pregnant are ?

Without knowing when your bitch ovulated only time will tell whether she is pregnant ofr not...So in the meantime plan as if she is and get ready for the big day!...Good luck!

I just want to point out, although, I dissagree with the mixing of breeds (and I shared why) I did answer your questions also...Unfortunatley this is what i got back from the op...Now who is being rude?

You know what whatever ...

and as for as me leaveing them unattended for the day I'm so sorry i had a family emergency that i had to leave right away and forgot to make sure they were apart !

I know this is a yorkie forum and i dont have a pure bred dog but i figured it would be ok to ask a simple damn ? !
So I am not gonna reply to this thread anymore !
