| I have squeezed Chloe's milk into their mouths for them - but they really seem a bit unresponsive to it. They open their mouths in an attempt to suckle, but not much going on.....

| After the babies eat, make sure they pee and poop. Give them back to mom after they eat. She should lick their rear ends to get them to 'go'. If she doesn't, you may have to get them to. You could try a small, damp cloth or cotton ball to stimulate them to go. If their bellies get hard, it means they're getting constipated and need to go. |

| I just got back and saw a couple pages were added here. The babies do look premature, I've not seen any in person, but from pictures that I've seen. Laying there with their mouths open. I'll keep them in my prayers and hope they are strong enough to nurse.

| Thanks......I must say - she is good mommy. Even when I am bottle feeding (which is difficult for 2 out of 4) she follows me and licks them the entire time. I have been alternating - one is the biggest and he moves around the most, which is so awesome right now!

| Well, I am managing to get some formula down. I just spoke to Sonya, who is absolutely amazing, and she really stressed keeping them as warm as possible. I jacked up the heat and sure enough - some of them wiggled a bit. I am happy about that. Keep the little guys (I believe they are all males!) in your prayers.

| Hey Jenn, It was great to talk to you on the phone. I sent you a PM with the link for tube feeding if you need it. Main thing to remember is keep them WARM, thier bellies full and make sure mom is cleaning them (for pee and poop) If they lay around much, get a towel warmed in the dryer, place the puppy in the warmed towel and rub them to stimulate them, then try a little caro syrup on their tongues and get them to latch on to mom. If they are not getting rounded tummies... then suppliment them. 1cc per ounce of puppie's weight. I know I told you all of this on the phone, but it is good to be able to go back and read it if you forget. Remember they should be nursing from mom every 1-2 hours around the clock at first. Place your scale next to them and weigh them at least twice a day to make sure they are gaining and not losing. If you have to suppliment them, weigh them before and after eating to make sure they are getting enough. Give me a call if you need anything. Sonya PS don't forget to get a thermometer (weather type) and place it near them so you can keep a constant watch on room temp
