Remember, as the stud owner you are not home free... you have the bigger responsiblity here...you must offer a proven stud of not only sound health, sound genes, but of excellent conformation, pedigree, temperament and one who is deemed to have genes worth passing on to the generations.

The average bitch can produce perhaps 10 puppies give or take ...a stud can produce hundred's...the stud has a much bigger effect on the breed.

Makes it more important for the sire to be evaluated or shown. This does not mean that he can reproduce himself though, so you need to ask to see offspring of any stud you are thinking about. The offsprings' show record is just as important as the sire's show record.

Contract looks alot like mine, however, I do not stipulate the trade for puppy in there only becuase it is usually added once the terms are agreed upon. If a bitch only had one puppy I would not require that person to give me that one and only, it does seem a bit cruel. I would have to think of alternate outcomes in that situation.
