| I have never heard of them but did go to their website. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM BUYING FROM THEM. Red Flags are everywhere. Whenever you see MANY different breeds that is your first red flag that this place is either a puppy mill or a place that gets their dogs from mills. Either way they are bad to do business with. Also, they state that their dogs do not leave mom until 8 weeks of age. You know why they don't leave mom until then? I'll tell you why. Because by law they are not allowed to be placed in a pet store until the age of 8 weeks. Beleive me they are not doing anything kind. Eight weeks for a puppy is still young to be taken from mom. AND, in a lot of instances documents are falsified to make the pup older then what it is so it can be placed and sold sooner. This place is bad news. Elaine |

| Puppies For Love I have heard of Pupppies For Love. They are excellent breeders and do not sell to brokers or Pet Shops. You would get a great puppy if you get one from them. They are not a puppy mill and breed all of their puppies themselves. I have been there to their location. All of their dogs are very well taken care of, very clean and well socialized. |

| This thread is very old. But, looking on the website.....multiple breeds and cross breeds....being bred.....not a good sign. Several red flags.

| As I have said I have been there and purchased a puppy from them and I couldn't be happier with my puppy. Just because they have several breeds and cross breeds does not make them bad breeders. A breeder can raise only one breed but have several hundred of the one breed. They can also not be taken good care of and you will not question it based on your theory that one breed per breeder is a good breeder. I think you should not judge a book by its cover but by the content of the book. Puppies For Love is a small family owned and operated breeder. The whole family helps raise the puppies and take care of the dogs. I meet most of the family members. This is a good breeder. |

| Sue, are you part of the family? 2 posts, both saying how great they are. They may be terrific, but flags are raised as they have many different breeds, and said that they can pretty much get anything, including large breeds. Personally, I would only buy from a breeder that only breeds one specific breed, and as viewed as an expert and strives to better the breed. JMHO. But on the upside, they do not raise them for a restaurant. |

No, you're not right either about others assuming bc a breeder raises even one breed of dog that they are a good breeder - there is much more that goes into the good breeder equation than number of dogs or breeds. Also, we're judging by what the breeder has put out on a public website and it is the content of the site that is disturbing to anyone who cares about dogs/puppies and the current problem of exploitative breeders.

Family owned and operated is great, but unless they're breedig ultimately for the betterment, which you cannot do by crossing breeds... nothing more than a back-yard-breeder (BYB). | |

| I totally disagree and I think there is nothing wrong with their website. You can't judge you haven't been there I have. So quit popping off about things you have no idea about. This is ridiculous reasoning! |

| How do you think the breeds we see today were created??? By cross breeding!!!! Everything originates from several combinations of breeds. This too is ridiculous!! Get to know your facts! |

| Ok Sue, you are the expert here, all of the reputable breeders are wrong. Great 3 new posts. Thanks for sharing. I would stay far far away from Puppiesforlove. Run, do not walk. Caveat Emptor |
