jolissa 07-07-2008 04:53 PM

My Jolissa OH SOO PRETTY or ( Tootsie her call name) is due at the end of July.

Little Bit 07-07-2008 05:34 PM

I wish you who guessed a lot of puppies were right, but Pippin is only having 2 puppies.

I haven't had Mazey x-rayed, but she is an inch bigger around in the belly than Pippin, so I hope she is having more than two.

khyorkies 07-07-2008 05:44 PM

Well 2 is better than none.;) Congratulations:D

That's great!! My little Cookie is really acting different tonight. She is laying around and sleeping and she is growling at the other dogs when they get near her. If she doesn't go tonight it won't be long. I fixed up a whelping box and a little whelping area for her, but she will not leave my side at all! Her puppies are moving allot and turning flips you can really feel them now. Her vulva area has swelled and her milk is really good and in now. Here is a belly shot from tonight and a pictures of her in her whelping bed and a pictures of the box I have set up for her. I am just waiting now! I will let you know when they arrive and post pics ASAP!!:D

khyorkies 07-07-2008 07:09 PM

Oh, and yes I did take her temerature it is 99.9 it has been running around 100.2-101.9. So it is still pretty normal.

She-ra's Mama 07-08-2008 08:39 AM

Ok...so when does the milk start coming in? Dixie's teets are big in the back area...but she is slowly getting bigger. Some days she looks more preggie than others. I really think thereis only one...cuz she doesn't appear big...her rib cage is bigger though...do some carry in the belly and some in the ribs?

khyorkies 07-08-2008 09:38 AM

My Cookies milk came in about 2 weeks ago and she is due anytime now, but some females wait until they are having they go into labor before the milk comes in, but usually it start coming in about 1-2 weeks before they give birth.

Some females carry the puppies up high in the rib cage and some carry them lower in the belly. My female is carrying her puppy/puppies low in her belly right above her hip I can feel a puppy. When is your female due? You could have an x-ray done on day 51-55, and they can give you a good idea of the # of puppies she is expecting. I like to wait until around day 55 because the puppies how up better in the x-ray.:)

lucy lou is due july 14th... do the puppies move around.. esp if there is only one or two?
like from the ribs down to the belly then back up ? her tummy is moving
all over
but this is her 3rd time so she has extra skin...
july 9th xray on day 58:)
i think the placenta is connected to the wall of the uterus, but the cord is long enough for movement.. i think the puppy could move? i think the cord and placenta are stretchy also. lucys puppy is trying somersaults:D

Well I had an x-ray done on Cookies at day 52- or 52, and they only saw one puppy, I am pretty sure I can feel another puppy but not 100%,if there is another puppy it is up closer to her ribs. The puppy that is low down in her tummy has been doing flip for this past week, it is so sweet I roll her over and watch the little puppy buldge up and then go back down. Here the past 2days it has really been kicking and jumping and rolling. She is on day 62 from her second breeding today, so if she hasn't had it by Thursday we are going to the vet. I had her another check up when we had the x-ray done last week and they said she looked really good so I am not worried yet, she seems to be doing fine. She is eating REALLY well and playing a little and sleeping ALOT!
I just can't hardly stand waiting for it to get here!!!:D

Important!

:2hearts2: Hey all i just wanted to share something with you all. I was told about this program called skype. It is a phone service through your computer. You can do video chats, audio chats you can also call people. It is a cheap way to talk. If you know people that have skype its FREE. I got it because a family member wanted me to. It was an easy FREE way to keep in touch. So i did and it is everything they said it was. So i was wanting to let you all know my information and i thought i would be a great thing for us EXPECTING and EXPERIENCED breeders to have. I plan to have mine on when Peyton gives birth and i think and feel as though i would be safe and comfortable knowing someone is on the other side if i need help or guidance. I know how some where coming back and forth to the computer during their births and instead of having to do that i can chat and have help when needed. I did think about coming back and forth myself.... Heck i will probably have both up and running...LOL. Anyways Please feel free to get it and if you do here is my screen name to get in touch and add me. :2hearts2:

Go to Skype official website – free download and free calls and internet calls
My screen name is: Baileysmom08

Please send me a message to let me know that you got it and i will add you all to get in touch with you all and you can get in touch with me as well.

Waiting patiently for my baby girls delivery and sending blessings all your ways for your girls and their deliveries!
:hearts-en

She-ra's Mama 07-09-2008 08:52 AM

Is diarrhea a symptom before delivery? She is due from the 10th...well anythime after that I hope. I can feel the puppy...which I think is an only child. Her back teets are fuller...but the ones around her ribs are still small. She is an energetic booger...so she doesn't act like an ole preggy girl:p I have her beside the bed...to keep watch.

What exactly...are the tell tale signs of soon coming labor? I know stretching and stuff...but what else. I am all prepared, gloves....the whole nine yards...but I know all dogs are different with labor and all.

tinker89144 07-09-2008 09:00 AM

The night before Doo Doo had her litter, she was in her crate digging through the blankies. Early that morning I found her in the corner of my room under some of my clean clothes, oh and yes she left a little present for me in the bathroom rug (poop) the runny kind, which she hardly ever has accidents. a few days before she was trowing up yellow bio. And now that everyone is reading this I have a question. The puppies are 5 days today and momma has been taking them out of the box, sometimes I find one in the hallway. And mommas been scratching under my bed like crazy she never ever ever did that before. Does anyone have any ideas on this?

khyorkies 07-09-2008 09:22 AM

Well Diarrhea doesn't mean they are going to have the puppies right then necessarily, my female has had it for about a week now.

Usually right before they go into labor or as they are going into labor the vulva area will swell, their milk may come in. They will be sleeping alot. And right before they whelp they stop eating eating, start licking their vulva area alot. They usually start feeling uncomfortable and start panting and nesting in the covers. You should keep a check on her temperature it will usually drop right before the birth of the puppies. Those are some of the normal signs that the puppies are coming!!! Hope that helps:D

It sounds like she doesn't like where you have them. Sometimes the mothers can be like that they want them where they want them. I am not sure what to tell you, none of my females have ever moved their babies, maybe someone else will see this and have some ideas. If not post a new thread!:)

khyorkies :
Was the last Xray done when she was 52 days? Lola had hers at day 51 and I hoped that I waited at least until day 56.You could onlysee 2 clearly. Well when they took it again at the Hopsital day 57 ,it was extremely clear to see 3 skulls and spines this time! They gave me a CD of it which was awesome because you could run the arrow across any area and it would zoom in. I confirmed the 3rd puppy that people here also thought they saw.

I was for some reason thinking it was done on day 52 but I got to looking and counted it up and it was on day 56, I could clearly see one spine and head on the x-ray. I was hoping for another puppy it kinda feels like there is another puppy, I could be mistaken of course. But I guess I will see soon. If she does not have it by tomorrow we are going back to the vet for a check up. Today is her 63 rd day from the second breeding. My vet said she doesn't think she took until after the last breeding that is probably why there is only 1 puppy and why it is taking so long, so she said I should give her another day or so since she was acting fine and eating good and everything. I thought we were going to have them the other night she was digging in her covers and sleeping alot and kept licking herself, but the vet said not to worry yet! So I will let you know what happens. If she doesn't have them by tomorrow I am going to start worrying and we are going to vet!

How is Lola and her little boy doing? I hope your baby is doing good! Are you gonna keep him:D

only 5 more days for lucy.. definitely nesting and anxious behavior
set your alarm clock to wake during the night to check on her. keep
her contained so she doesnt run off and hide somewhere during the night
best wishes for easy deliveries:)

It sounds like we have a lot of litters due within the next week. My two girls are due on the 15th and 16th.

Poor Mazey can barely walk. She really waddles. Because we have smooth floors she sometimes has a hard time getting up and keeping her back feet underneath her. I don't know how many she is having.

Pippin is only having two and she acts just like normal, runs, jumps, even climbs . Gotta keep an eye on her.

That is the way Cookie is, she is acting totally normal running and playing and barking. But her temp has been slowly dropping all day. It is 7:03PM right now and her temp is 98.0. She is acting really tired and is growling at my other dogs when they get near her, and her puppy is really moving around alot today. So I am thinking that it may be tonight.:D

Yeah...Dixie hasn't had an accident in ages...she did throw up a few days ago...and I saw her eating grass...which she ONLY does when her tummy is sick I saw her steala bite of ckn strip from my dtr:mad: Prolly upset her tummy. She has been on puppy food for ages, the vet said it is good for her, so she has been on it since we got her at 7 weeks. I gave her a bath, and brushed her out, I washed her bed...which she LOVES for me to do!! She like goes nuts when she hears the dryer buzz...she likes the fresh warm bed!:p I am letting her stay in a large metal crate...plenty roomy for her, beside my bed, and I keep ck on her often. I shine the flashlight on her and she gives me that give me a break look!Sh is such a spoiled princess...if we have company...especially my dad...she worms her way into his lap so he will rub her belly!! She pulls that "Im pregnant card" every chance she can!

Here are pics of "princess preggie". I cut her hair myself...so don't laugh.:( Actually it looks really good, better than what I paid for at the groomers last time:mad:. Anyhow...the black and white one is her on my dad's lap...stealing all his attention!

Need Some Help!

Khyorkies.... Good Luck Im so excited for you! Definitely keep us posted with pictures and all!

Okay question for ALL

My baby girl Peyton is due on July 20th (this is going from her first breeding) If this is when she is due this makes today her 52 days in. Today I got home from my vacation and got her from the sitter (my Aunt) and she is so huge now she just popped pretty much over night from what she said. Its been about 4 or 5 days since she "popped". Anyway. I think i saw one of the puppies moved. Sooo exciting. We also checked her teats and we saw that she is expressing milk. (Not alot or anything.... It seems as though it is just beginning. Only one is producing very little and the rest nothing yet. When does the milk come in? How long before labour? When is it safe for them to deliver? (Without it being early...I dont want her to go early as i dont want premies.) Please if anyone can help answer these please help!!

You don't want her to go before day 58 or 59.

When you say you dont want her to go earlier than 58 or 59.... anytime on day 59 or later is safe? Not on day 58?? Just want to make sure. Thanks
