That baby girl is adorable! Are you keeping her? We've decided well my husband has decided that we are keeping Lucky. He's gaining weight like crazy and will probably have to be rolled out of the whelping box when it's time for him to walk! lol

Thanks. They are doing very well. Mazey finally got her milk in and the puppies are gaining. Mazey is doing much better about being with the pups also, though she is so attached to me she frequently leaves them every time I come in the room, so I have to be careful.

Awww. I am glad you are going to keep your little baby. That is great he is gaining weight and doing so good!

No I am not going to be keeping this little one. I already had a home found for her before she was born. But it is gonna kill me to get rid of her. She is so precious.

Well I am glad all are doing well. That is the same problem I was having with my girl except she would not stay with the baby at all, so I got one of the little petmate crates at wal-mart and a baby crib bumper pad and put in on the inside of the crate and laid down lots of blankets, and I got some of those clip in food and water bowls and I put her in the crate with the baby and she is fine she will lay down and go right to sleep with the baby. I let her out every 2-3 hours to go potty and leave her out for an hour or so to let her excersice, and that is the only thing I could find that would work. I tried baby gates and she kept jumping them, and they do not sell the tall gates at any of my local stores so I would have to order one and it would take to long to get here. :animal-pa

Attention... Yorkie Lovers... Update on Ms. Peyton Savannah!

Hey All!!! I'm getting sooo antsy about this first pregnancy.... I can't imagine what you all go through doing this more than once..... You would think I was the one having a baby.....LOL.... Shopping non-stop....mind you my baby i am keeping isn't even here yet :p ....., Searching on the internet on what to do, how to prepare, and of course GLUED to Yorkie Talk! Okay enough of my rambling... You all want to know about Ms. Peyton right??? Okay!!!

57 Days and COUNTING!!!
She is acting normal and all ...trying to jump and run.... (she only runs like the energizer bunny ... or energizer yorkie for about 3 minutes!) Anyway, her milk is in.... well slightly.... I just hope she has enough when the babies are here. Well I went back to work today and I had my mom stop by on her lunch to check on Peyton.... She said that she could definitely see puppy movement.... she swears she heard four heart beats and possibly a fifth one!!! Yes i did ask if she was sure she did not pick up Peyton's heartbeat she says DEFINITELY was not hers..... It was obvious as it had a different sound and beat..... So the Ultrasound picked up a definite three puppies and possibly four ... the vet wasn't sure if a puppy moved or if there were more hiding. So we are hoping there were five puppies....

Okay enough update...... for now! I will keep the YT family updated with more info when it comes along and pictures when they arrive!!

My Heart Breaks

I know I've been gone for a long time now, but with 6 new little ones and a new part time job on top of a 3 year old things get a bit crazy and it just seems like 24 hours in a day isn't enough LOL. I've been doing lots of reading catching up on post. I'm glad to hear we have lots of babies coming into the world of YT. Just an update, for those of you who've read my previous threads and know my story. My husband's boss told me he had someone who wanted to buy Doo Doo's whole litter, the person is opening a pet store the middle of August and I guess Doo Doo's litter is a new hybrid (corkies) I'm against it all the way. So after lots of begging I asked him to give me a chance to find these little ones a home. So the first one (a boy) I'm giving to my sister in California. It leaves 5, 3 girls, 2 boys. I met a lot of families over this past week and narrow it down to a few. One family picked a girl for grama and a boy for themselves. Another lady I picked has a big yard and one older daughter in her teen years, she picked a girl as well. The last couple I picked had a young son 12 years old and no pets in the home, they also picked my last girl. Which left me with one boy, I'm meeting with another family this week to see how they'll do. I know the pups are very small for me to be finding homes for, but I just couldn't bear the thought of these little ones being sold to a pet store. I don't know if some of you are going to eat me up alive, but I couldn't let them go to a pet store. Please let me know if there was something else I could have done different.

Well I am glad you kept them from going to a petstore! I am sure you found them good homes, maybe you could right up a contract saying that if the new owners can't keep the puppies they must be returned to you. How old are they now? Have you already let them go?

tinker89144 07-14-2008 04:19 PM

I wrote up a Receipt & Holding Agreement and everyone put down a $75.00 deposit. The pups are only 11 days old and will not be ready to go anywhere till middle or end of August. I wish I would of thought of what you suggested, I think I'll go ahead a write something up like that, I'll ask my families to please take a look at it and see if they agree. Thank you for that great idea.

Well that is great. I am glad you kept them from the dreaded petstore. Do you have any pictures of the little babies?:D

I'll try to load some new ones to my album later on tonight. For some reason when I try to post them with my reply it tells me their too big?

due July 30

My girl is due July 31st. She is almost 7 weeks now. Here are her belly pictures. She's starting to get big. This is her first litter. I'm having to feed her 'specially prepared" food because she has become too preggie to eat normal food (but she does still, behind my back) *s*

tinker89144 07-15-2008 03:41 PM

She looks like she's getting there (big). Do you know how many pups? My doo doo spent her last weeks sleeping and wobbiling around the house? Oh with one exception we took one last trip to california a week before she had the puppies. My mother assured me these would be california pups and not Nevada pups. I guess we came home just in time.LOL:)

No idea yet. I will be taking her in for an xay next weekend. Here's a picture of the daddy. I just hope she has a couple and not one huge one, as this is her first litter. Two or three at the most would be perfect. Congrats on your litter. Babies are so much fun...... can't wait to see these little ones

Need some answers

Nothing here yet...I know my calculations are all wrong...since I was gone and all. She still feels like there is a pup in there and she actually bit me this morn when U tried to rub her belly. Is that an indication of upcoming labor? She has been nesting etc for a few weeks...but nothing excessive. I also noticed she left ALOT of her food from last night...somebody help!
