| Lola's Xray from today! I took Lola today to get her Xray ,she's 51 Days today. The Xray was more clear in person! Sorry for the poor quality. Well the vet said that she saw 2 for sure but could not make out another puppy so I guess I will have to wait to be suprised! They quoted me the WRONG price for the Xrays I was told $60 for a dog her size.Well when I get there I ask again just to confirm. They told me $129! That's a big difference. Because they do 2 xrays ... Well I asked to take one Xray flat onher back so we can see if her pelvis is big enough for a natural whelp and see how many puppies in there. They went ahead and still took 2 Xrays but charged me $87 for it. I wanted a copy but that was another $20! So I just asked if I could take a picture with my digital camera. the pictures arent great but I could also only make out 2 puppies. She's gained 2 lbs and I thought it was 8 oz of weight gain for each puppy! I uploaded them and put arrows. The puppy on the right side of the picture ,it's head is facing down to her pelvis. The puppy on the left side (it's head is up in her ribs but you can only see the spine sticking out. I thought for sure I heard two heart beats on the left and one on the right. And those 2 heartbeats was not Lola's and the puppies because there is big difference in how fast the heartbeats are lol... | How Is Lola? Lola looks like she may have another one hiding in there! Good thinking in taking a photo at the vet of the x-ray. I took Lily's home, but I needed to sign a paper and they want for me to bring them back for their records. We are still waiting for Lily to decide to have her pups! I hope it's today!

| Well we were due on June 28th and still waiting. Zoie's temp has been 99. for 2 days and thought she was getting ready and now last night it went back up to 100.8. So now guess we will have babies in Jly. Maybe she is wanting to have a firecracker birth. Oh well guess time will tell. So any one have any ideas about this temp thing. I can't understand the up and down of this. She sure is sleeping alot. I figure she is trying to store up for the long night she has.

| So what day is Zoie on...67? When you take the temp,do you take it at the same time everyday? She may have ovulated a few days after she was bred? Lola is on day 52 since her tie and she's showing all the signs of being due in 7-10 days. Her waist looks slim now and her belly has dropped very low. Her milk glands are swollen all the way across to the top. She's been having the darker discharge, she has vomited and has diarrhea for two days. Not too bad because she only poops like once a day but its soooo runny! I gave her a few drops of pepto lastnight. She's also much more clingy. Her vulva is swelling also.I am getting excited and I can't wait for the whelp night. However I want her to make it as close to full term as possible. Istill say there are 3 puppies in there! The Xray looks overexposed and nothing is visible in the center. You can only see the 1st Puppy's spine and no head appears since it's so high in the ribcage. | Lily's temperature seems to go up and down too. Her temp is usually lower first thing in the morning though. This morning I took her temp. and it was 99.4*. She is throwing up yellow bile. Poor baby. And she is licking a lot more now too. She was due on Monday and today is Wed. I believe she ovulated after the first tie. She tied every day for 6 days. Her first tie was April 27th. I was supposed to go in to work this morning, but I called in to cancel. I think today may be the day??!

| Her milk is in at Day 52? Is too early? I started a thread in Breeder section. The whelp book I have says usually 3-4 days before the whelp. Also on canine calendar it shows around 3-4 days before the whelp. It's been 52 days since her tie. If she's further along than that then it's ok of course! But if she's only 52 days This morning I shaved Lola's belly and vulva area including her butt since she had diarrhea. I washed her belly and vulva with a moist washcloth .I noticed a drop of thick milk on her nipple and wiped and put a little pressure to check if this was indeed her milk coming in and a big thick amount came out! So I finished cleaning her up . I know there is no specific day that their milk comes in but I've read in so many links that milk comes in like 3 days before the whelp... She's on my bed resting now . I did take her temp at 10 am this morning and its 99.3 I don't,don't ,don't want her to have them early!!! Thank God I am home all day with the ocassional errands that I do. I won't be going out,I'll be rushing on the street to get back home lol. Genie Cookie,Lola &Angel |

Sounds like we have others that are doing the same way, up and down. We don't have vomiting or diarrhea. But guess we will see when she is ready.

| Question? I'm curious to know where you are all placing your whelping boxes. I have no idea where to place mine. I have a 3 yr old daughter who pretty much roams the whole house. I also live in Las vegas the weather here is very hot (107) so the A/C is running all day. I don't know if she should be away from the A/C when the pups arrive or if she needs a dark room. But then again I panic she might need me and I won't see or hear her. Any advice please |

| I took Lily in the backyard this morning to go potty and she very quickly slipped through a hole that goes under our deck! I think that she wants to have her pups there! I called her and she came out. From now on a watchful eye is not enough. I need to keep her on a leash when I take her potty back there! That would be just awful if she decided not to come out and have her litter where I couldn't get to her! I took the day off of work today because I thought for sure that she would have her pups. Not yet!
