| Please do not let people come to your home and see your pups when they are only 18 days old. They have not been vaccinated and could pick up something from someone's hands or something that they unknowingly bring in on their shoes. Pups should never be handled by strangers until 48 hours after their first set of vaccines. Vaccines should not be given before 6 weeks of age. It makes no sense to show pups at this age anyway as you can't tell anything about personality, size, or conformation at only 18 days old.

| first, you shouldn't be letting anyone come look or pick out puppies at this time. no one but you should be near those babies until they have shots. people can carry germs on their hands and bottom of their shoes. i have a four day old litter and before they were even three days old, people from here were wanting to come see them, pick a puppy out, see parents, me to send pictures and pedigrees. Like a three day old puppy looks like anything!!!! That is just ridiclous that people even ask us. |

I have never had a problem telling pups apart. But, if you need to mark them some use a washable non toxic magic markers and put a dot of different colors on the inside of the pups ears. Reapply as it starts to fades. Some use different colored string/ ribbon around the pups necks ( I was always afraid to do this because the pup may get choked) | |
