Puppy question... I am having a little dilemma. If I am calculating correctly my dog should have the puppies by June 10th or so. I have a wedding to go to on the 22nd and I was just wondering how soon they can stay alone. I would think 2 weeks is WAY too soon for that but I kind of wanted to know the good rule of thumb. I would need to find someone who will not be attending the wedding to watch the puppies. Also, how often do they feed?

Well the wedding is at 6 so I would have to leave here at 5 and then its until 1130 so I would be home by 12. Yeah 7 hours is a long time. I should probably get someone to puppy sit, right?

| If the pups are all nursing well and healthy at the time you have to attend the wedding... I see no reason they cannot be left alone for those hours... Leave the mom confined with them.

And there is not a chance that she may smother them by mistake?

I'm starting to get sooooo nervous about this impending birth. I have been reading some of the posts and you guys are putting the fear of God in me! In all honestly, I never wanted her to have puppies but of the 3 dogs that we have, the parents to be are not mine so I had to word in the matter. I told my mom and sister to get them fixed and nothing, now look what happens! But we're here and now I need all the help I can get. Would it be too much to ask for a step by step manual for whelping? Please help.

Unless you have a pup that needs constant care... you can live your life... sleep... work... go to weddings... etc. Good luck!!
