Thank you all so much for all the lovely comments on our precious babies. We are extemely excited. My hubby fed kandie early this moring and made sure all babies had their big full bellies.. while I slept.. more pictures will come ...

Your Welcome. I know it's exciting for me

to read all about your babies being born, and see the pictures, etc. Just maybe someday, It will be me, writing to say Rosie had puppies. But for now, I am praying for all of your little girls to have an easy delivery, and all the babies to be fine.

I just sat down to really read each and every post..with my toast and jam and I am tickled pink with all the comments..I was in the bedroom with the PC and wow it was tight with kandie in there too..it was uncomfortable typing as it was not my laptop I am use to..
Anyway I wanted to tell you all.. the panic was with the first.. he was part way out for a good while. of course the biggest.. and he had an amazing amount of fluid in his lungs and nose.. I was in a panic as my girlfriend had a litter a couple months ago.. and she thought she had all the fluid out but when he started suckling he aspirated.. and that was so fresh in my mind.. she was on the phone with me giving me support.. for I was alone.. which is really much harder..
My old body is in bad shape from all the awkward positions I was in all day with her and then for three solid hours at the end.. trying to reach what I needed...
Well then on number 3 she decides she needs to go potty.. well the little girl hanging there just waiting for the afterbirth to come out.. and I did not have enough space to cut the cord.. it was too close to her.. and I had to strong arm her basically to get her to stay.. well that was a bit different for me.. then when she did run to go potty.. she just dropped at the end of the bed and did it.. then went out side to finish.. she felt bad as she never goes in the house but at that time I did not care...

I also want to thank Debby for helping with posting the posts..I really could not have done it..being with kandie and babies was to important..

Now they are settled in and I am still sleeping in the same room with her.. have not been able to go to sleep until around 4 this past couple nites.. but jim has been getting up and checking on the babies to make sure all is ok and he has been staying in the house until I wake..it is hard for every time I hear a peep, I am looking at the babies.. but I always do this.. I would stay with her if I had to sleep on the floor..

Glad you posted more details, Anne. We can all learn from these experiences. I was sleep-deprived for about 10 days after Ruby's litter. Its not fun, but would you have anyone else stay with them? Absolutely not.

Good job, and best wishes for mommy and all the puppies.

I am just so glad everything turned out fine. I do worry about each and every one of you. and I'll be a nervous wreck again next month too.

But let's get through May babies first. Sending prayers to the mommies.

Anne I am so sorry you had such a bad delivery. I am glad all are doing good now.

You did such a good job all by yourself and all. My husband always trys to schedule his vacations around whelping time so I have someone here with me. I am glad he did since we had to have a c-section.

I had a rough night.. I lost my small boy..

the last born.. went to the vet in my jammies.. but we could not save him.. he was fine when we went to bed last night..now I am timing the tiny girl on the teat..
I am so upset still..I do not know how this happened..but the vet says he had concerns on friday about his weight..

and seeming so small.. like crap why did you not say something to me then. anne
