Thanks to all who've posted congrats. Kiwi is such a great mommy. I was worried the c-section might inhibit her instinct to mother, but she's doing great. Whenever Kiwi gets up the puppy literally cries from the second she leaves until the second she comes back. So Kiwi only gets up long enough to go potty and then heads right back to tend to her baby. She cautiously crawls back into their little bed, careful not to walk or lay on the baby, and then gets right back into position on her side for the puppy to be able to nurse readily. She really loves her little baby. It is so precious to watch.

I am so glad she and her new little girl is doing good. My Lacey had a c-section and was worried about the samething but she is such a good mom. It was her first litter also

Poor Kiwi, only has time to go to the bathroom. I am glad to hear she is doing ok after her c-section. Hugs & Prayers continue.

I think she's feeling a little better today than yesterday. She's up and around more and showing interest in food. She's very clingy to me though and sometimes she shivers. I'm not sure if she's nervous or in pain. I've been giving her 1/4 of a children's Tums tablet, 2 x a day to keep the calcium levels in her bloodstream up and prevent eclampsia. I'm just keeping a close eye on her.
