Thanks to all who've posted congrats. Kiwi is such a great mommy. I was worried the c-section might inhibit her instinct to mother, but she's doing great. Whenever Kiwi gets up the puppy literally cries from the second she leaves until the second she comes back. So Kiwi only gets up long enough to go potty and then heads right back to tend to her baby. She cautiously crawls back into their little bed, careful not to walk or lay on the baby, and then gets right back into position on her side for the puppy to be able to nurse readily. She really loves her little baby. It is so precious to watch. |
