| Females are usually ready to breed anywhere from the 9th through the 15th day of their heat cycle. Can you tell us a little about your female? How old is she and how big is she? Do you own your own male also? There is so much to learn about breeding dogs. |

| Some female don't bleed a lot. They are in heat a total of 21 days. Usually the female starts being receptive to the male about 10 or 11 days after she first starts bleeding. If the male has been used for breeding before, he should know when she is ready. It is advisable not to leave them together unsupervised. |
