Experienced Parti Breeders please read

If it helps...I have Biewers and all three have pink bellies with the dark spots. And all have some degree of pink and black spots on their gums and roof of the mouth.

OK so I'm not following. Are you saying that traditional colored NON carriers have black roofs? or pink ones? And that parti coloreds have both colors and carriers would also have both colors?

My traditional has a black roof. My carrier's mouth looks to be pink with black ridges.

I personally don't think that a carrier's would be any different. f that were true, the YTCA would have figured this out and added mouth color to their standards in order to weed out any carriers.

Also, they are carriers, which means they do not have the second gene that is required to over ride the dominant traditional gene.

I have 4 Parti carriers.. and all 4 have grey solid roofs of their mouths.. Their Bellies are all pink.. So I don't know what this breeder is going by, as my carriers have NO spots either belly or mouth roof.. Loretta

I have 4 Biewers at my home at the present time.. 3 have pink and black roofs of their mouths, one has a sold black roof.. I have a splitter (1/2 Yorkie, 1/2 Biewer) her's is solid Black).. I'll check my other Biewers mouths too.. interesting..

here is my question....you see all the time..."he is a parti carrier" on a puppy. how do you know? what are the indications that a traditional looking yorkie is a parti carrier? if you do not want or want parti's in your breeding, how do you really know so that you can either get them out of your breeding or add them to it?

My baby's mouth is a solid pinkish color and he's a yorkie!

My Biewer, Darbee also has a pink and black roof of the mouth and a pink belly with no spots.
