Missing Yoshi Everyday! Donating Member | New breeder law In the City of Wichita, KS. They now require every breeder to register for a yearly license which cost $50. If you don't and get caught selling a puppy you will be fine $100 each puppy. Not only that you are getting tax on the sale of your puppy but it is not tax deductible. If you have 2 or more unfixed female you have to registered as a kennel. I don't think that is right...is this law happening anywhere else?

| I'm not sure if it's gone through in GA, but I think it's a good idea! Hopefully, it will deter puppymills and BYBs..

| You have to watch these laws they are popping up everywhere and do not stop Puppymills!! It is also one way to get revenue. If you are registered as a kennel in some areas - then you might even have to house all you animals in a seperate building and cannot keep them in your home. So read carefully what the laws are that are trying to be passed. Some are good and some are not! Some are also backed up by certain groups that do not want dogs anywhere and want all dogs/cats spayed and neutered. The where will my grandaughter be able to get her puppy from someday when she is born?? T. |

Missing Yoshi Everyday! Donating Member | IMO nothing will stop puppy mills...but this new law will hurt non puppy mill more...and then you will have no choice but to go buy your next yorkie from a pet store...which comes from a puppy mill....this is all bs...

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Laws such as this are also intended to encourage people to get their pets neutered. Too bad we need so many laws.
