| Why do you "need" a puppy the first of June? And are waiting for a male or female. I have forgotten. |

| It seems like she is holding her dogs a little longer these days. I also know that some breeders let some pups go if they are really big enough! I have seen 8 weeks old who were over 3 lb at different breeder, and she was willing to let go earlier than 12 weeks.

| Imho Just Imo I think you should go there and see things for yourself, talk with Susan and you will know. Not to be mean to anyone here but all this is mostly hear say. The breeder that i bought my little Chloe from has bought a lot of her yorkies for her breeding program. She speaks with Susan any time she may have a question. Mind you that was back several years ago since she bought from her but she told me even now she can call her or go to her house any time she wishes. Now i know this is hear say also, but i bought my little Chloe from her and she is just a doll. It's been almost a year ago and have not had any problems with her. Of course Chloe has Stardust in her lines but there are others. She has a very nice pedigree... Correct me if I'm wrong but i believe Amazing Yorkies has done business with her and i think she has bought yorkies from her years ago. So do your home work and then go meet her if you can or call her. JMO Mary

YT 1000 Club Member | This thread is a perfect example of why you shouldn't take people's experience as Law. You will get good experience and bad. But people will only post their experience and that experience is probably not the same as the last couple buyers. Don't take a bad experience from a breeder and think that that breeder was in the wrong unless you get all sides (more than likely, they could have been the only bad experience or they could be making some things up). There could also be a misunderstanding. Plus, breeders could change. Do your research of that breeder/kennel yourself. I personally don't listen to many people (ex. there could be a breeder on YT that I believe have the rudest attitude but her buyers could think she is great). I look into things myself and decide about a person from my own experience and more. Last edited by love_me_cody; 04-21-2008 at 11:40 PM. |

That's exactly right and then there are those that go behind the scenes and try to destroy a breeders reputation when they know nothing about the breeder and have no business even giving a review on the person or the dogs. This section if for people to share their personal experiences with breeders. Just because one person and her five friends rthink a breeder is rude, others might not view it that way.

| The only thing I know is that I have heardWAY more positive things about her than negative. I am going to see her tonight, she only lives 20 minutes away. |

| I've spoken to Susan before-- I spoke with her a while back when I was looking for a show quality female. She made it very clear that she has some puppies she sells as pets and others she quarantees are show quality. Her kennel has produced an extraordinarily large number of champions. Mind you, a show quality puppy from her does not come cheap, nor should it. I would trust her. |

Im not the arguing type, and Im truly not trying to start an argument here....but I think these quotes are a little unfair. OP came here to ask OPINIONS, and that is strictly what she got. Both good and bad. I for one gave good and bad opinions and I think Susan and Stardust have received mixed reviews. Thats is pretty typical. I dont think there is a breeder out there who is perfect and when things happen, say for instance, health issues, etc, I think those stories are necessary to hear. To hear how Susan handled these situations is important and for me, seeing that would sway my decision one way or the other. For Susan, I think she has been for the most part upstanding in her practices. She is honest about what she does and where the pups are coming from. People are getting upset that everyone is giving their 2 cents....but Im sorry, isnt that the meaning of a forum?!!?!? Amy came on here and asked what we know. She received many reviews and from what she has posted, she received more positive input than negative. IMO, I think now that Amy has heard both good and bad stories, she can now feel a bit better about her decision to visit with Susan. I for one thinks thats pretty cool and feel like we helped a new Yorkie Mom!! Thats at least why I replied. Although I understand "one person and her five friends" may come on here and bash and give bad reviews about someone who probably isnt all that bad a person, I personally think thats where a TRUE breeder reputation steps in. A good breeder can speak for themselves through ACTION....which is what Ive heard Susan does. From these posts, I have learned that she handled a situation with one of her pups that passed away with compassion and professionalism by replacing the pup and helping with expenses.....well, even though my friend received a pup with a hernia problem, after having read these other stories about Stardust, I would feel better about purchasing from her because through these stories and opinions on here we learned she truly cares!! So, I humbly feel its a little unfair to put people down for their opinions. Disagreeing is one thing, but I dont think their wrong to post their thoughts....who are we to tell each other how to think? We are all just learning from each other here and I think THATS GREAT!! Sorry so long winded, but thats JMHO!!!

I will give a review or give my opinion about what I see. If you project yourself respectfully and nice, I will be more inclined to think you are until I find out more information on you and your dogs. But again, It's all about first impressions.. If you seem mean and snidely to people, people are going to talk. That breeder shouldn't get mad if others think they are rude because they projected their self that way. It's that person (or people's) opinion. Why get mad because someone gives their opinion?Would you want someone to get mad because you gave your opinion? How did the thread turn to be a review about you? It isn't about you and now I am dumb enough to change the topic, also. Last edited by love_me_cody; 04-23-2008 at 08:59 AM.

YT 1000 Club Member | Actually, No ONE was talking to you or about you.... You decided to add your two cents about something entirely different. and when someone keeps going on about something different and tries to call someone out on something out of subject, they are perceiving themselves and their actions as childish and uncalled for. |
