He is looking better evry hour ![]() I thought...I should put him with Allie ..But no..I've heard of bad things happening there since she is nursing her 2 week old puppies. | ![]() Oh Debbi, What a day you are having! So glad to hear that he is doing better and that the other two tinies are nursing now. When Ruby had 4 and Coco only had one puppy born 2 weeks later, I moved some of Ruby's puppies to Coco to take the strain off of her (under supervision of course). If you had to, would Allie take a couple of the bigger puppies for a feeding so it wouldn't be so crowded? Or just to keep them warm for awhile? I know you are getting great advice from the more experienced breeders. We just wish you the best possible outcome here. Keeping you in our thoughts!! ![]()

YT 2000 Club Member | ![]() Sounds like you've gotten some very good advice here & hopefully the vet can show you how to tube feed should you need to do it in an emergency. Sending up prayers that they'll continue to grow stronger and stronger and will make it through this.

| ![]() I think tubefeeding will be the best weigh to get him/her stable and growing. My view on tubefeeding is that my pup may die without it, so I do anything I can to help the puppy. If following procedure, it's hard to kill a puppy by tubefeeding. I'd also move the other pups into a warming box until the tiny ones have had their fill. And I'd let them nurse before supplementing. Best of luck, Susan |

| ![]() I'm so very happy they are getting a full belly now, it's so hard to know what is right and what is wrong when it comes to these precious babies. I would be so scared to have to tube feed as I've never had to do it. I've even had to get up every hour to feed but they all made it through none was as tiny as U'res tho. Our smallest one ever was 4.4 oz & I had help her feed, all of ours did nurse too but I just helped to make sure they was getting enough. Wonder if there is a video somewhere on tube feeding that we could put here on the Breeders Section through Youtube?? Anyone know of one? Seems like that might help some of us that don't know how to do it or have never done it before. If I did have the Vet show me I'd still be scared poopless thinking I might be doing it wrong when I got back home to do it alone, U know what I mean, it's kinda like when U have U're 1st born baby and all the things that scare U to death when U're new at it. I hope they keep thriving for U and I hope U can squeeze some precious naps in here and there. U & U're precious babies are in my thoughts and prayers ![]() Hugs, Lee |

| ![]() I just caught this thread Deb, sorry you are having such a hard time. ![]() I just went through this too. I bottle fed mine every hour and a half and every 2 hours at night until I saw her nursing well. If she did nurse and didn't get a nice round tummy I would supplement also. The nutri drops really helped her, also the benebac. She has finally doubled her birth weight at 2 1/2 weeks. Hang in there. I know the worry is overwhelming. Sending a prayer your way. |
