| surgery on 28 day pregnant mom My girlfriend breeds Pekeningese. Her male and pregnant female got into a fight over a pigs ear and her eye came out of the socket. She is fearful for her expectant mom and unborn pups. Do you think she will loose the pups? The receptionist was very cold to her and said she would probably loose the the pups and maybe the eye or possibly be blind. Since she is more than 1/2 way to her due date what are the risks?? |

| oh my goodness! I would definitely find a new vet. if the help staff cant offer support during a crisis it doesn't sound hopeful for the vet especially if they are the ones that hired the support staff. Your friends in my prayers! I hope she and her girl will be fine!

| New vet. Anyone who shows that little compassion for your friend can't be much better with her poor little girl.

| Is this her regular vet? I hate the fact that she may loose her pups, but her responsibility right now is for the dams life and her taking care of her. It is a terrible situation and I feel for her. I have lost a litter of 6 when the dam went down with low calcium and anemia, we lost the pups they were one week away from due date, but my girl made it which was the most important to me.
