Is this her regular vet?
I hate the fact that she may loose her pups, but her responsibility right now is for the dams life and her taking care of her. It is a terrible situation and I feel for her.
I have lost a litter of 6 when the dam went down with low calcium and anemia,
we lost the pups they were one week away from due date, but my girl made it which was the most important to me.
