| I've often thought the same thing. I've seen alot of larger ones (no our eyes aren't playing tricks on us). I've seen few (in comparison) look like 5-7 pounds, but there are some. |

| When I was registering my Ziggy, I put on her papers that she was white black and tan, I did this because I was mistaking the silver growing through as white. They sent her papers back and said their should be no white. I cleared this up but I just thought I would add this.

Naturally, this is just my opinion. And so that I will be standing behind it, I won't be posting again to this thread. I'm not offended at all, or upset, or feel that anything rude was said. I just think it would be hypocritical for me to continue on this thread.

| [QUOTE=Pinehaven;1912957]I searched "Why Not White" on the internet and was unable to find the site (s) you're talking about? You are correct on some points. Yes, the YTCA Standard has always said that the only correct adult color is blue and tan. So tell me why have black and tan, black and gold and blue and gold "off colored" dogs, entered the show ring and won championships in the past? Why do breeders (show breeders included as seen in previous threads) continue to breed the off colored black coated yorkies to their blue and tan yorkies? Black coated adults according to old standards and to the new DQ rule, are considered to be off color and not correct. I don't hear anyone saying that "those" dogs should be spayed/neutered and sold without papers or sold as pets?QUOTE] I'm saying it. I have a 6 month old gal that I am presently holding for show. She has structure to die for and has been trained to go into the ring. She has yet to break color even on her thighs. If she doesn't break color and remains black and gold she will be spayed and sold as a pet. I can either stand by my convictions and abide by the standard or I can forfeit my title as an ethical breeder. If I were to get parti-colored pups in a litter I would sell them as pets and would not repeat that breeding. I've commited myself to breeding show quality, healthy yorkies who conform to the standard anything else would be a compromise of my ethics.

| They were posted in the photo gallery. To see them now, you have to go to the photo gallery and then under p (poppyalfie) in the member galleries.

I can't help you on the Party Yorkies, but the Biewers Standard is the same "size" standard as the Yorkies.. up to 7 lbs. However, in my opinion, there does seem to be some consistency issues in regards to the size that we are working on. The german breeders may not have seen it as an issue or liked having somewhat larger dogs in some cases. So, I think you are correct in noticing that some of the dogs are larger than what your used to seeing... especially in the show ring. We are trying to breed to standard and out of my 8 Biewers, so far the largest is just over 6.5 lbs. The real trick seems to be getting a female that's gets large enough to keep for breeding. -Diana
