I felt an other puppy moving in there but I can't tell if there is more than one. I gave her a bit of Calsorb and Nutrical so hopefully things will get going again. The pup is pretty high up there so it may take a bit to get it down.

I know how U feel, I'll have to let our gals back out to potty again in hopes to sleep a little in the morning, but then again I have 2 real human girls and one won't sleep in for nothing the other one U can't wake up at all. So no sleep here. Justin just gave up on us all, he's gone to be too. I just told Sage go lay down and go to sleep, God love her she does go to her bed too and lays down.

U love it and U know it. LOL U'll get up tomorrow and be smiling from ear to ear even if U have bags under U're eyes. :)

Here's a pic of my little birthing area. I think all Remi wants is a nap. I feel the same way. There is a pup in the left uterine horn though. It's moving so it's fine.

Well that is cute as can be, she looks so sweet laying there. Can I ask where U got U gates around her? I like that, it sure looks big enough. I need to get me a bean bag chair for Sage, if she whelps her puppies in here in the Yorkie room, this tile will get to my butt after awhile.

It's a light weight portable pen with a bottom and a top that you can put on. The bean bag comes in handy as I can't sit cross legged on the floor for any length of time anymore. Guess what I"m doing now? Laundry!!! Well at least I won't be naked when I walk around like a zombie with bags under my eyes!:D:D

U crack me up, still working on U're laundry. I'll have one load of work clothes to do in the morning and that's it, well I'll have towels & sheets & blankies for our Yorkies later in the weeks but not all that I did today.

Where did U get U're portable pen at? No puppy yet? I thought she was gonna push this one right out.

Bless her heart, she can hardly keep her eyes open. She'd never make it if she had 6 or 8 like we've seen around here. She's a small 5.5 pounds and I can't imagine her any bigger than she was this time. This will be her last litter as the more I learn about her sire the less I think that I should carry on his genes. Live and learn!!!

It's so hard isn't is to see them so tired, I mean U know how we felt having our babies and I just had one at a time 4 times, I couldn't even think about having 6 or 8 at a time. Don't U wish U could just have them for her?

Can I ask what it is that U don't know about her Sire? I know about living and learning. Did U have a stud for her?

Remi is out of the first litter that I ever had. I was just starting out and hadn't really planned on having a litter yet but I let a friend from Terry's work talk me into it. She had a cute 4 pound boy and she wanted a puppy back. I got in a hurry and said okay before I finished my research. After the deed was done I found out that Pin Oak is little more than a puppy mill and they refused to send me pics of his parents or tell me anything about them. I probably never should have bred Remi but I wanted a pup out of my redleg. All the pups will go as pets but that's just not good enough anymore. I want to produce a better quality pup each year and so I won't be breeding Remi again. I have a wonderful pet home waiting for her. You wouldn't believe the difference in the quality of Roxie's offspring when they were sired by Connor. I've learned so much in the last three years and I won't settle again.

I just feathered her so maybe that will help. She has a cord hanging out of her as well so she needs to pass an other placenta as well.

That's awful that U got done that way. But as U say we live and learn. At least you learn and put a stop to it, to where others wouldn't learn and keep breeding just to breed and make money

I've never had a stud before and I think I don't want to as of now. I'm right now happy with what I have and see what Sage and Galahad has, I thought if Sage has a good male I might keep him and breed him with Sofie. That wouldn't be to close in lines would it? For Galahad is from our 1st litter and Sofie from our 2nd litter. If it is to close in their line then I'd have to do adopt another male for Sofie. What do U think?

The new male would be her nephew so it's linebreeding but it all depends on the ancester that you are doubling which would be Teddy. The question you have to honestly answer for yourself is is Teddy worthy of being doubled? What are the best features that will get locked in and what are the worst features that will get locked in? Are there any health risks that are associated with Teddy's line? Some things to think about.:rolleyes:

I like the way U worded it. I will have to research Teddys line then and find out all I can about him and his family tree so to speak. Yes U gave me some things to think about. And that I will do, put his pros and cons down on paper and see what I come up with. Thanks for U're wisdom on this. :)

No problem!! Maybe you can get ahold of his breeder and they can help with the research. If all else fails hopefully you can find a show breeder of good reputation to get stud service from.

I know who his breeder is and I think he would answer any questions I may have. I don't know about the Stud Service as I've never done this before.

Tami, I don't know if something has happened to Remi or not but I don't see U signed in here. I hope not, I've been on for a while now waiting on U so I'm gonna go try to get a few hours sleep before Jestik gets up and at it.

You guys aren't going to believe this one. Remi had her third pup at 1:40 and took a break. She delivered the placenta from the last pup at 5:00 and a water bubble presented. She licked it and broke the water. At 6:00 we still had no puppy so I checked to see if I could feel any part of the pup. I didn't feel the pup in the birth canal but I could feel him moving. I started calling the vet at 6:30 and left a message every half hour. I called everyone I knew and couldn't get ahold of anyone. I gave her 2.5 ml of Calsorb at 6:30 with no results and repeated it at 7:00. At 7:45 I called the emergency clinic which is a good 1 1/2 away. I packed up Remi and the pups and got ready for the long drive. At 8:00 we were at the door and I noticed that she was pushing. I had the hubby watch her while I grabbed last minute items and he yelled that we had a pup. She popped out a 5.2 oz. baby boy. He's a bit sluggish but is trying to nurse. He was covered with yuck but we got him all cleaned up. Remi has been throwing up since about 7:15 and isn't feeling her best but I'm sure she's glad that she's done. After being up all night and being so stressed thinking that I'd lost this puppy I can say, "Thank God that we are done and everyone is safe" Thanks for all your prayers, they worked!
