I just can't let myself think that, I'm too much of a skeptic. I think it's just completely random to be honest. Could be wrong though. But I'm just imagining millions of sperm, and it's just whatever gets there first. It might be three x chromosomes one litter, and the next it could be three y's. I just don't think sperm could possibly be selective...lol

Missy just had a little boy... haven't weighed him yet. We think there are 1-2 more. I have a sad question to ask though, he has a cleft palate (preobbaly not spelled right). I cried when I noticed it, because I think I read a post yesterday & it seemed they were saying they don't usually make it.... any advice? He's trying to nurse now & I just want to do what's best for him. Should I try to bottle feed instead, or tube feed?? He gave us a big scare when he first came out since it took a minute for him to start breathing. Any help would be great! I'll check back soon with hopefully more good news.

So sorry about that. I would pm Breny (that's her username) She has a chi that has a cleft palate and has done well. She could advise you very well by her experience.

There just was a thread of the Mom having 7 pups - 1 was a cleft baby. The owner did what he thought was the best thing for the pup - he called his Vet and he surrendered the pup to the Vet, whom is caring and feeding for him 24/7 - once old and strong enough, she will preform the corrective surgery, but the pup now belongs to her, which I am sure she is going to be an excellent Mom.

Maybe this is a route you should go, permitting your Vet would want to take this on?

I'd love to continue this thread if we're allowed to do that.
With pics as our litters grow. If we decided to keep one or all...(LOL) or as we find forever homes for our furbabies.

Maggie is about to have her puppies. She hasn't eaten all day. She has diahrria..how ever you spell it. Her milk is here. And she lost her mucous plug today. So keep us in your prayers tonight. I'll post something later once the puppies are here! I'm making her whelping pudding right now!
