I would think 4 years is ok, as long as she has been tested and everything checks out ok. She'll probably only be able to have one (maybe 2) litters safely, but maybe that's all she needs...

yes, two at most litters.. her kids all want one, they are all grown up. and a couple friends.. not me...LOL

But I was answering her questions as well as I could, but this one.. well I have had not bred one so late.. so was not sure enough to argue...

I've been told that a female should be bred prior to three years of age for the first time. You want her to give birth for the first time before the pelvic symphysis fuses. This sets the pelvic bones so the birth canal may stay too small

Well, I personally wouldn't do it after then, but I suppose 4 years is better than 6... If I were that lady and I had my heart set on it, I would have her evaluated by 2 different vets and have ALL the proper testing.
