Do you breeders really make no money at all from breeding??

well of course most doctors don't finish in the top 10% of their class...only 10% do But every doctor that passes his boards and graduates walks across that stage with a diploma...the bottom of the class is just as much of a doctor as #1 in the class. And I promise you that just because someone has the highest grades does not mean they are going to be the best doctors. I can already tell that by some of the people in my vet school class...

Again...back to my son. Even after missing nearly an entire year of school due to illness, he worked to complete that year in record time, graduated a full year early with an extra 12 credits over the requirement for an Honors degree, top of his class of 1,200 students, also an athletic Letterman and a student leader. He received more scholarship offers that any other individual in the history of his school and got a 10 minute standing ovation during the schools award ceremony. So, again...I beg to differ.

But, this isn't about my son. This is about the idea that there are some extremely qualified people that go into the medical field. These same individuals often go above and beyond the call of duty on a daily basis. And for that I am eternally grateful!

If the Doctors in your area aren't meeting your satisfaction, perhaps you might choose to travel to an area that will meet your needs when required.

I'm gonna give you a piece of advice...I've learned on this list you just can't convince some and then there will be some you can...You have an amazing son and I admire your family! He will succeed in the medical field and that's all that matters. Dont' let anyone rain on your parade
Just like I was told I was riduculous for not putting a yorkie puppy with small children no use arguing not worth it No use getting into a pissing contest. I"m the adult so I am taking the adult approach and not argue

Some make a good living and some don't. Most people have no idea what it takes to become a vet or doctor. 13 years of grade school, 4 years of college, 4 years of medical/vet school (and some people go through graduate school before this)..for a total of at least 21 years of school! But it doesn't end there...most doctors and a lot of vets go on to do internships and residencies...3-8 more years. College and especially medical/vet school are NOT cheap. Most have to take out student loans...it is years and years before they get them paid off and actually start making good money. It takes a lot of time, money, and hard work to become a doctor or vet (no matter where you graduate in your class)

ummm I think I know that.High school we all have to do that!
My son is in college for nursing maybe DR,I do know what it costs belive me and all of it is not students loans and grants,my best friend has went through vet school,I do know her hours and time spent.
My boy has no time to do anything!!And neither did she all their free time was studying or working at his job,he has no time anymore to play his favorite computer game which he complains about.

I did state whether it be right or wrong in "your" eyes its the way I do things and the way I see it it's right for me and that is all that matters. You dont have to seek me out as a breeder doesn't matter to me. I place my puppies with whom I want and feel comfortable with.
I don't agree with many on YT but I do handle myself in a professional and ethical manner and I do expect to be treated as I treat others but I know that's sometimes impossible. Like me or not it's still my choice as how I practice and believe.

I'm glad that you do all you do more power to you! I couldn't do all that and devote time and energy to raising my show dogs and go to shows. But again, I'm entitled to my opinion!

For the record, I didnt call you rediculous, I said that saying "my feelings are you should be caring for the children instead of a young puppy" is rediculous. That would be like saying that if I have a couple of children I shouldnt have more children because I am already busy caring for 2.
I couldnt do all that I do and devote a ton of time doing the dog show scene either, although my parents did with dobermans when I was little, and raised and showed Arabians here and in Canada while I was growing up. I dont show though, so I guess that makes a big difference. Although we are bottle feeding our newborn goat right now that is going to be shown, its totally not nearly the amount of work as a showdog.

That's great, maybe he will make one fantastic Dr. but, like I said, the ones down here, where my Mom lives in IL and where my sister lives in KY, the Drs suck..

How did it get from do breeders make money, to whether or not doctors listen to patients? That's a rhetorical question, btw.
