| Do you use a Doppler? I have found a doppler that I would like to purchase. I wanted to know if you use the doppler and if it works on canines? Is it worth purchasing?

| That's actually not bad, which site is it? I think it would be great to have, I wonder if you could definitively tell how many there are with it. |

| We use the Bebe Sounds Fetal Heart Monitor we purchased at K-mart for checking fetal heart beats. Not sure what you were going to use the doppler for...

| doppler My friend, Rini Werner uses hers all the time. She used to come to my house and listen to my 4/5 week gestation moms...she was never wrong on the number.....My vet would give his opinion from the xray at 8 weeks, ask how many Rini heard and if it was more then he saw, he said.."go with whatever Rini says"...her record was 100%. She heard 4 one time and only three showed on the xray...then after whelping 3, a tiny, tiny girl was born..so small she never showed on the xray... She tried to teach me and I could tell if a girl was pregnant at 4 weeks, but not how many...I do not have the ability to distinguish the different sounds of the pups heart beats..each pup sounds differen, but it can be a very tiny difference...Rini is a retired nurse...many breeders find them very useful... |

I know there is really no benefit of having either but I just like to listen. Also, after the whelping, I like to check to see if all the puppies are out. I have found one for 115 that has 97 reviews and each review was great. I just wanted to make sure it was safe to use on the bitch. since it uses ultra sound waves.
