| Aww it tugs at the heartstrings that they are still crying. I had mine done at 2 days old, but they were over 4 ozs., a good healthy weight. They didn't cry at all and Mama stays right with them. I hope they start feeling better soon and that the Mama will get back to them.

| update Mom seems to be taking better care of them now. She has been with them all day other than to go potty and eat. They aren't whiny now and they have definitely been nursing. The vet seems to think she is rejecting the pups, but I personally think it was from all of the stress from yesterday. I don't think she would be with them now if she was actually rejecting them. If I ever have another litter I will be doing the tails and dew claws myself. I agree that it is alot less stressful on both the mom and the pups, even though the momma dog was there with them. I really wanted to do them this time, but I also wanted to watch it being done so I would know what to do next time. Thanks for all of your replies!! I will keep everyone updated. |

| I am relieved to hear mom and babies are doing better. Maybe you can relax now. |
