As you claim to be the premier Biewer club and you say that educating the public is of prime importance, please explain how the Biewer is a breed of its own, and how is it different from what the Parti breeders say they have?

| Still waiting to hear some answers to questions that were posted. Gayle gave a lot of information that is very well grounded. It would be nice to hear what proof the have to substantiate their beliefs. Are they saying that they have parti colored yorkies that they claim are Biewers? There are two breeds here, either a parti colored yorkie or a Biewer. The most simple test is to have the dogs genetically tested that way you will know what you have. |

| If you adhere to the BBCI philosophy then does anyone know of two pure bred dogs, that are of the same breed, when bred together create an entirely different breed? |

BTCA Club members continue to breed back to the Yorkshire Terrier, one only has to visit the club pages, breeding , advertising and selling splitters. We all imported our dogs from Germany, we all started out with Biewer Yorkshire A'la Pom Pons. The difference is.. I as well as others have chosen to NEVER breed the Yorkshire Terrier into the Biewers.Myself and others have always treated and believed that the Biewer was a breed unto itself. Unlike yourself, your club and some members who did breed yorkshire's into your lines. 2007 made a public statement that you dont and will not breed Yorkshires ........ yet it's 2009 and you still have members breeding , advertising and selling splitters. This was basically my original question .. and no you didnt answer it. Thats all I have to say

Thank you for telling me what the club I belong to is doing, but that has nothing to do with my question. What makes the Biewer a la Pom Pon a breed of it's own and how is it different from the Parti-Yorkie? Since you know so much about my breeding program and that of the members of the BTCA, can you tell me which dogs I'm breeding are splitters?

| Very interesting how Enchanted Toi, who does not know us personally, can come on a public forum and state what our club members do in their breeding programs. Trading information is great but please when stating something make sure you have the FACTS. No one in the BTCA is breeding Yorkie back into their programs and if someone has it is DEFINITELY not the way of the club. If Enchanted has inside information we would really appreciate her PMing us or contacting the board directly and sharing such informaiton. |

| YT Addict | I have been thinking about this for some time now... I remember when it was a special occasion to see pictures of Biewers online about two years ago. They were always the most beautifully bred dogs. Recently, I feel like I have seen so many poorly bred Biewers within the last year or so. It was rare to see this breed in the U.S. Now I'm seeing ads in my local paper! It's sad how trends lead to irresponsible breeding.

This is a new breed and it needs work. You are going to get dogs that don't meet the standard, have poor quality hair, etc..... but you don't sell them as breeders. If you know there's known health issues in your lines, you don't sell them as breeders. Some people are selling every puppy they have as a breeder. Talk about KA-CHING
