| Another ear taping question... I'm not sure if this is in the right section but I thought the breeders on YT might be able to help. When you tape the ears how long do you leave it on? I've seen some sites that say 3 days at a time and some say a week at a time. Do you leave it on overnight? I guess I'm nervous that they'll pull it off of each other and chew on the tape or something. |

| i left maggies on for a couple of days each time, even at night. she didn't seem to bother with it tho. i should have left hers on longer, as one of her ears does not stand up right. it did for a very long time, but then during teething went back down. i taped again and it just never stood up right. so i would say 3 days minimum and leaving it on at night should be fine as long as they are not messing with it too bad.

| Thanks. I guess I worry about them at night time...you know...the worst thoughts go through your head at night! They didn't really bother each other's ears too bad when I taped them yesterday but if they did pull it off I wouldn't want one of them to choke on it or anything. My husband says I'm paranoid |

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | When I did my Lexie's ears, I taped them for 3 days on then a day or two off until they stayed up permanently. I think it took a week or two. The trick works faster on some dogs than on others. Did you buzz the hair on the ears before taping? It makes it easier and more pleasant for the dog when it comes time to take the tape off. Good Luck
