Shreveport, LA Dog Show

So, we just got back from Shreveport last night and let me tell you that is a FUN city. We had a blast, crusining around the town and of course at the dog show.

It was a beautiful weekend for a dog show, the sun was shining and it was the perfect temperature. If only all show weekends were so perfect!!

Well, Saturday went great...I didn't have my female Silky entered but had a wonderful time watching the other Silkies and of course the Yorkie Ring as well. Unforunately,...

Prayers for all the sick babies..

It truly saddens me to hear of all the illness among our babies. My prayers have been right there with Bleu, Tink and the others. Kind of a helpless feeling but a priviledge to pray for them.

My kids are here at my feet in the dark, I feel something soft and fuzzy across my foot, it brings a peaceful feeling..and one of gratefulness that they too are not ill.

This is a brand new day with hopes of good news and joy. Go out and make it a good one. Monday and all.;)

The day is finally here
I will be going to my
furever home
My new mom & dad
are picking me up in
exactly 9hrs

I dont think my furever
mom is going to be able
to get any sleep she is
way to excited and nervous

Actualy she is going to
keep herself busy until
those 9hours come

She plans on cooking
dinner for later so she
wont have to do that
when I get home...

The first time I took Eddie to obedience class, I was terrified of all the big dogs. I'd heard a horror story from a YTer who said her Yorkie was charged at the very same school we were going to. The dog charged, and she scooped up her Yorkie. She said the instructor criticized her for "babying" the Yorkie. She walked out. I don't blame her.

But that thought has always stuck with me. Why would an obedience instructor encourage her to leave her Yorkie in harm's way? I wouldn't...

So I hear that my furever mom got side tracked giving my sisfur a bath and forgot to call the vet to change my appointment from 3:45pm to something a lot earlier.

She's going to try to set her alarm in the morning for 7am to call when they open at that time and ask if I can have a 11-1145am
appointment.

Anyway pics of my sisfur Brookelynn Paige from her bath today.

Snuggled in a warm towel placed in the dryer for a few seconds
