Bedtime!

Every night its the same story I go to bed and Jack wants to play he puts his toys in the bed and runs around until he realizes you aren't going to pay attention to him. I'm pretty sure this is my fault because when I first got him we spent alot of time playing on top of my bed. Although now, we play all day and take long walks and I don't wanna play before bed but I don't know how to make him understand its bedtime. Once he finally settles down and goes to sleep he is back up at 6am every morning...

Close call at the park today

Our neighborhood park almost never has anyone in it in the mornings, and I feel comfortable letting my guys walk off leash. That's the main reason I've put Eddie through so many obedience classes. I wanted him to be able to walk off leash when I deem it safe. Jack is no problem. He's never more than a couple feet away and never wanders. Rusty is a bit more adventuresome, but his "come" is generally good.

Today, the downside of my love of unleashed walks reared its ugly head....

My 9 year old neice just got diagnosed with A.L.L. Lukemia. She's so sick. She actually turns 9years old on 8/18/08. She is so weak and has severe bone pain from the aggressive chemo. they're giving her. It's 90 percent in her bone marrow. She just lays in bed crying. She has developed diabetes from the meds,and has a blood infection on top of all the other stuff. From her severe anemia she has two holes in her heart. They say when her heart swelled it, ripped two small holes in her heart. Her blood...
