Look What They Did! Those Little Devils!

Have you ever wondered what might happen when you leave your precious babies alone for 10 minutes? Well, wonder no more! This destruction took place when the three puppies were left alone in their room while I was outside on a "potty break" with their Mommy.

We had a homemade futon that had a layer of foam on top of the mattress. Well let me tell you - foam is great fun for puppies! They dug through the blanket to get to the foam, and managed to cover the entire room in it....

Dear Toy Makers,

In designing toys for dogs of all shapes and sizes, do you consider the fact that dogs have teeth? I know, this may sound like a stupid question, but I guess its no dummer than making a dog toy filled with stuffing with just a thin little layer of fabric to cover it! I have now been through all types of toys (fabric, plastic, foam, rubber, you name it!)

Now, I do understand that puppies have sharper teeth than adult dogs, but when I come home with a brand...

Dogs and Cavities??

I just noticed a small black spot on my 3 yr old yorkie's molar

I am pretty sure it's decay. I was trying to find vets in my area (nyc) that perform restorative dental procedures. All the ones I contacted just do cleanings.
I found one hospital that does it but charges $800 total just for the visit, cleaning, anesthesia and x-rays..this doesn't even include any extra procedure he may need (like a filling)!!!
This is absurd! Does anyone have any info or experience with dental...

It's raining

It's friday the 7th November 2008 and it's raining.I thought we were never going to get rain here in Jozi.My garden was so dry.

The puppies are getting so big they are becoming so playful and lovable.Shelby is still the baby and the only one who hasn't piddled on the paper yet.
