Good Evening All,
Today My Bryan turned 6months old so I took him to get his first real haircut at a local Petsmart
....Well he has really thicke Black hair on his body and his face and paws are tan but you could see silver at the roots... Well when we got there the girl says " He's matted and I'm gonna have to shave him and that she did. Well his behavior has not been the same since we got home.....he pratically slept the rest of the afternoon and has not gone to the bathroom since we got home..HELP!! He does not even look like a Yorkie anymore is this behavior normal?

![]() | Poor little Bryan , he feels naked now.He just does not understand what has happened to him. The first time I cut my male he acted like he was so embarrased. I put his shirt on him and he felt better. |

![]() | The first time Daemar got his hair cut, he also had to get it shaved because his hair was matted, too. He would rub his entire body on the floor for the next few days and he started using the bathroom more often. Like Breezeaway said, I put his coat on him (it was winter...normally I wouldnt get his hair cut then but it was matted A LOT) and he felt better. My advice is to treat him and feed him like you normally would, and encourage him. Also, go out and play with him. That warm sweet air and a cold bowl of water'll do him good. |

![]() | We had our large dog who loved getting groomed, we took him to petsmart to get groomed and they seemed to have traumatized him because he will not even step into petsmart anymore. I have groomed our yorkie and he's fine, and clean. We started grooming him at 4 months, we tell him he's handsome and then he's happy. |
