Alfie is getting fat.

Cant believe it, I expected a little weight gain after his neutering but not this much. I'm very careful about how much he gets fed and he gets lots of exercise, and he usually spends hours chasing around the house and garden with Rosie. He is an obsessive chewer of rawhide chews, which I dont mind as its good for his teeth but looks like restricting his access to these incase thats the cause.
They also have a little fur cousin to play with once he's stonger, so welcome to Jay the cocker soaniel...

Rosie the house guardian

Yes Rosie has descovered the joy of guarding the house by possitioning herself on the sofa arm and watching anything yhat moves. Unfortunatly for us that means just about anything, birds, leaves, well you get the picture. At the moment she isn't very serious about it, but I'm sure Alfie will change that once he gets bored with his chew stick.

I said I wouldn't but I couldn't resist. Rosie now has her first piece of doggy jewelry, a really cute pink beaded collar. She looks so cute in it and unlike normal collars she doesn't mind wearing it.

Torn in decission

Okay now I'm really torn. I really really would like a chinese crested to go with my two yorkies. But now I've seen an add for a lowchen and it's like, but maybe I should have one of those. We had a lowchen years ago, a retired show dog, his owners had whippets and they kept bullying him. His name was Patrick, shortened to Pip and he was such a love, hated to be left alone. Pee-pads success.

We didn't really bother trying to use the pee-pads with Rosie as Alfie always used to just destroy his, but she's still having regular accidents in the house, esspcially at night, so we brought some a week ago just to try it.
The first got destroyed, no surprise, and the second. The problem is, Rosie likes her privicywhile going potty. Her favourite place was behind the sofa,then I noticed she was going in Alfies cage on his blanket, sooo... out came the blanket to be washed and in went the...
